Wow - can see why the AFL get the big bucks. NRL has 4 and overall RL 5. We can add in three more for RL with SoO and GF a dead cert to be in the top tier naturally. And we can add in the AFL Grand Final and possibly a few AFL finals as they tend to rate well and also tend to out rate the NRL finals. So will be an interesting tally to look at when all is said and done. I thought the NRL would have had a lot more games in the top 20 to be honest.

Or - and I'll add this in for my RL friends who live and die by this stuff - does this simply show a move by RL followers from TV platforms to more streaming type services? We know that RL were big up-takers of the Pay TV format - so does this also ring true for streaming - hence the poorer than expected ratings?

It's a bit odd all this is so difficult for you to comprehend Freddo. I mean you've been on this site for years debating the exact same trends and roundabouts over and over and over again.

This is not unexpected Fred. It's not surprising. It happens every single year. It happened the first year you were here and every year thereafter. The AFL wins most FTA comparisons. To offset this RL has 4 blockbuster games V 1 for fumbling. Then RL smashes fumbling on Pay. I believe at the moment its 42 NRL V 3 AFL. Kayo would be exactly the same. Plus RL has bigger regional numbers. Thus RL has won the ratings battle almost every year you have been here. (That includes your time in the jungle that year your numbers were so bad you vacated the battle).

You have participated in exactly these same conversations year on year on year pal. You might need to start doing sudoku or cryptic crosswords Freddo. Apparently trying a new language or learning how to juggle might also be of assistance.

Hope this helps Freddo. And have a great day pal!!

Is there are total figures Pussy? I suspect when you add in Fox to these games they would naturally be higher and improve the NRL and RL figures. Also, were the FTA figures only available with streaming for those where you add streaming? I am assuming so.

A big thanks for doing these by the way. Much appreciated.

That’s pretty impressive by the AFL with the consistency of high ratings but I think it is misleading to show only fTA. I think if you add in fox RL would fair a bit better. Also think it’s inconsistent to show some figures with and some without streaming.
