these fumbling morons might have a point if the ratings were close
but we are getting around 150K more veiwers
with one less game
it isn't even close
over lapping is a furphy

I can’t remember but thought when the afl was playing games throughout the week last year .. so not overlapping, they won the ratings?

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
can you explain why our TH and FR night games easily beat the NRL but our averages suddenly drop on the weekends? What could the difference be?baselinepanther wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 6:53 pmthese fumbling morons might have a point if the ratings were close

Apparently regional teams ....which points to why I say doesn’t matter what is put forth someone from the opposing views will find an issue with the figures.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
I don't think anybody here has said that overlapping games are a furphy Fred. What has been said is that your Overlapping games don't make anywhere near the difference you people like to make out and use as an excuse.
On a Sat/Sun your games that have no overlap at all would struggle to Average 170k, your overlapping games dont get a great deal less. On the weekend for instance your overlapping games averaged over 140k, probably closer to 150k. Most weeks 6 games can completely be watched.
The extra FTA ratings you get more than makes up for any shortfall in PTV ratings.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Currently you have 2/3 of the top games on Thu/ Fri, and if Kayo numbers were put out weekly you would have about half. By the end of the year you will have 1 of the top 5 FTA matches. PTV games make up half of your matches and we lead those by about 60 thousand people in every single match, and when Kayo is included our lead is about 130 thousand people.NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 7:03 pmcan you explain why our TH and FR night games easily beat the NRL but our averages suddenly drop on the weekends? Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
oh come on. We dominate TH and FN top 10 and you know it, and that'll be even moreso by year's end. Single game v single game where the entire country can watch is the only logical comparison. The only reason the NRL can claim to be a competitor is concurrent scheduling, we have games just after 1pm, and we have less fans subscribing to pay TV.pussycat Mark 11 wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 9:51 pmCurrently you have 2/3 of the top games on Thu/ Fri, and if Kayo numbers were put out weekly you would have about half. Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Didn’t the afl win the ratings last year when they were showing afl games in isolation?
Nrl v afl is pretty close I thought but when you add in the whole od Rl I think the soo takes Rl way ahead.

you dominate metro ratings for 2 out of 9 games played ( when you play thursdays )NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 10:01 pmoh come on. we bring back that domination in the ratings in those games by vastly superior foxtel & kayo ratings & better regional ratings .. final result most FN & TN's is a win by 50 to 75K each game
domination... nuh
barely winning
the other 7 you play
you get reamed
murderded ... by our 6 games
more recently our 6 games have been slaughtering your 8 games despite 5 of our 6 games , being on pay TV where only 40 % of fans can watch them while almost every fumbler having access somewhere to your 8 games on FTA
it isn't even a contest anymore

Hmmmmmmm!!!!!! I don't think that's right Wookser!!! It's quite ok to talk both. That's why I set up that other beautiful thread where all the "nuances" can be gone over with a fine tooth comb away from the reality of the actual figures.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 10:31 amIts the nuances in the tv deals that generate the cash, so you can all fuck off with your pleading not to discuss the differences and begging for raw numbers.
Raw numbers are exactly that. They actually show who is watching what.
The "nuanced" arguments are subjective, opinionated, prone to over reach and emotive to some.
It makes sense!!!!

ok, getting somewhere noe. So Dave, why is it we win most TH and FR games but not the weekend?
