Suns v Swans is not going to rate that well if shown nationally in it's dedicated timeslot. (by it self)
So they schedule it with another match
Richmond v St Kilda for the Melbourne market > to boost the National total.
there is a reason the AFL do this and they have been doing it for years.
Especially the day games.
it all goes back to, how many punters will watch all 9 games.
and even when you have the clashing of games, you have the FTA component beamed into home states.
Take out that FTA and your got an excellent point.
Beaming the Suns into their home state or even Brisbane - instead of a Collingwood match or another big club would, I think, mean less ratings for that market. Hence my need to get fox.
