less then a million people watched 4 games of derpball last night on pay & fta combined .. no streaming numbers in that
probs 1.2 million with them

695K watched 3 games of NRL just on pay tv alone probs a million with streaming

given 2 AFL games were played at the same time last night it isnt quite as simple as you've made out. Furthermore, the first AFL started at 1.30pm, or 11.30am in Perth, as opposed to the NRL's 4pm game as their first. Add to that the AFL's ratings are over 12 hours compared to the NRL's 6, having a huge impact on average ratings. But of course you knew all that. You're just being disingenuous as usual
