The NRL Grand Final game (2.103m 5CM; 2.967m national) was the only thing on television, as the other networks continued the tradition of programming filler content against it. The Pre-Show (1.29m) and Post-Game Wrap (1.145m) helped Nine to an overall primetime primary share of 42.6%; with a network share of 49.3%.

Wowsers! A good old fashion pants down arse whooping....

The dominant force just ain't that dominant. :(/ :(/
There was more people watching the AFL in Metro than the NRL nationally.

Where's the silver lining there pussy? :hmm:

Not the first time it's been on pussy. Only rated 284k.
What's your next "but but"?

Media week....
Sunday TV

Seven: Up against the NRL Grand Final, Seven started with Billion Dollar Cruises: All at Sea which did a respectable 454,000.

The Sunday movie was 2018’s A Star is Born which was on 284,000.

Nine: The NRL match that saw the Storm hold off a second half Panthers resurgence had 2,103,000 watching across metro markets. Nine has calculated that the audience was up 20%+ year on year in key demos. The program was of course also #1 in all demos on Sunday and gave Nine a huge lead to start off the week.

Wins between now and the end of survey just five weeks away are crucial for boasting rights after Seven drew level last week. See separate item today.

The NRL Grand Final regional audience of 863,000 pushed the national average audience for the match to 2,967,000. That trailed the AFL Saturday crowd of 3.812m significantly.

10: An audience of 394,000 saw guest Jeff Kennett laying into Project co-host Peter van Onselen for suggesting Dan Andrews was not running a communist state. “Well what would you call it?” asked Kennett. “Over the top,” van Onselen replied before Kennett got stuck in.

10 then screened the most recent Graham Norton Show with 218,000 watching.

10 will be looking for a recovery this week as the two nights of football finals have been brutal with network shares of 6.3% and 10.9%.

ABC: It will be hard to improve on last night’s Restoration Australia which detailed the amazing work undertaken on a classic homestead just outside of Wellington in regional NSW. The audience was 494,000 which ranked the program #2 behind only the NRL Grand Final.

The series final of Grantchester then did 431,000 which also ranked #2 behind the football.

Isn't Victoria in lockdown Fred :hmm: Its a fact Fred , Just like its a fact to say that in the preceding years the NRL season has attracted more ratings ,higher ratings, and all at a better Average.

It would seem to me that you and LOL don't know what an excuse is, despite making an almost never ending amount of them.

AFL ratings in Syd and Brisbane were the highest ever for a GF not involving a team from their state. Was that due to Melbourne's lockdown?

your a fucking hypocrite. You've made as many excuses this year as anyone has before. Its also a fact that streaming is more prelavant now than ever.

The hilarious part of it all is that apparently lockdown explains the Melbourne ratings for the AFL, but not the ones for the NRL.
What excuses have I made Wookie? just as I said to Fred, Anything I have said is a fact . And Lockdown was the major factor in your ratings increase . And yes it would have played some factor in ours. But the Storm are usally well supported in GFs.

take it as you must, But the NRL GF was a shocker.

22- 0 at Half Time

26 - 0 at the 57th minute>>

If it wasn't for the 2 sin bins to the storm which made panthers score 4 try's

to give the score line some creditability.

(in my 25 years of watching Grand Final's i would put this game and 2008 Grand final
as the worst ever.

regards to the lockdown argument that has arisen...

wouldn't a lock down in Victoria benefit the AFL over NRL>

if there were a lockdown in NSW it would benefit Rugby league more than the AFL.

3.8mill for AFL will definitely be the Number 1 sport for 2020.

even with 3 SOO's left I don't think a decider would even pull that figure this year.

Also watched both games, as League Person i enjoyed the AFL GF more
even know i went for the Cats....
