yeah interesting.. slowly crept in and got to this.
it is easily fixed for the AFL, might look stupid.
but play like Netball lol
Only some positions are aloud in certain parts of the ground.

Well in the old days there was no way a forward would be leaving the forward line let alone venturing into the backline. So people used to play to their position... but yeah maybe some mandating wouldn’t hurt.

“And give potential for an increase in TV income.
Of course the broadcasters that do not rely on ad revenue may have ideas of their own.
CBS that own 10, have neglected the ptv arm, recently announced they are redoing the whole thing, CBS Rejuvenated themselves by investing heavily in sport.
Disney: well they own a lot of sport.
Amazon want more subscribers in oz, and that’s an opportunity, out of the PTV that I subscribe to, too many, I find them the cheapest and the best, adding $2 a month, or even a week....well.”
It begins

“Amazon, which last week secured the rights to a one-off Eight Nations tournament in Europe, previously declined to comment on whether it was involved in the local tender process. However industry sources since told The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age that they were interested, but is it unclear whether they intend to put in a formal bid. Optus was previously considered the front-runner for the rights to the rugby union but did not express a formal interest in the revised broadcast rights package when it was released last month”
And CBS, who owns 10, just announced a complete revamp (Of the 1st revamp) of 10’s PTV streaming arm to broaden its footprint in Australia.

Re: COVID-19 Affects it will have on Australian footy codes
AFL losses continue to mount, with projections of costs of missing the final series in Melbourne.
costing the League $15million for the Semi Final Week.
this includes gate takings in QLD of what would of been 2 games at the MCG.
that's quite huge amount.
7.5million made from each game at the MCG

it has been quoted QLD as paying around 5-10mill for the Grand Final.
and the article was about the Semi Finals, as it is 4 Victorian teams
which would of faced off at the MCG

I think all codes are losing money, I’m sure they are not losing as much as they would have by not continuing.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 3:54 pmAFL losses continue to mount, with projections of costs of missing the final series in Melbourne.

Hope Covid doesn’t have too much effect on the AFL All Australian Team’s busy international schedule.

Re: COVID-19 Affects it will have on Australian footy codes
News LTD reported earlier this year that South Aus. would pay $4m for an Origin game if they could have a full house. Is anyone aware of what the crowd situation is in S.A.
