someone will have it I am sure. So can we have someone do a chart of total ratings week by week comparison of the home and away series thus far for each code. Would be good to compare.

You know -

AFL NRL
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3

etc etc

Just a simple side by side comparison.

You were saying early in the peice that lockdown was adversely impacting the NRL ratings....
ohhh Geez, I am pretty sure i answered this to you before.

I said Lockdown effected Crowd Numbers >> which obviously it did and that was for Round 1 of the NRL season.
when crowds were permitted, and it effected it massively.
at the start of outbreak when it was all new...
Canterbury v Parra was sold out but only 20k turned up..

( melbourne is not even aloud out after 8pm lol
anyone who likes sport will be getting there fix.
Pretty sure you said lockdown impacted ratings somewhere
Maybe when a World News Event Breaks it would impact ratings of other programs that week...
Because NEWSFLASH! it was big news and News programs were rating big...
but than decline over a week or two as it becomes old..

Melbourne's lockdown, more prime-time matches and even a reduction in the length of quarters are seen as reasons why Foxtel and Seven West Media enjoyed bumper AFL ratings during the recent "footy frenzy" period.

In Melbourne, audiences had leapt a staggering 37.9 per cent !!!

How much shorter is the game though? Whilst quarters are reduced to 16 minutes, breaks have been increased. This includes 1/4 3/4 and half time as well as extra time after a goal.

And is it better to have a shorter programme that rates higher or a longer programme with lower ratings. Also, for stv is not the content length a big part of what you are buying ?
