Shameful.

Poor crowd for Q Clash also with only 23K compared to the near capacity Queensland Derby.
Fair dinkum. One was played on the much higher rating Friday night with the two teams in the top 8, whilst the other match up had two bottom placed teams playing on the less tv friendly Saturday night. Wake up to youself cooee. I would have thought the crowd and Saturday night figures were good in the circumstances.
forget about the amazing ratings for the NRL
& lets just focus on the

well .. amazing .. ratings for the AFL in SE Qld shall we
amazing they were

amazingly ........ :? .... BAD :_<> :(/ :_<> :(/

Television does not work like that, Mr Cooee.

how doesn't it work like that ?

you have X numb of people in a Market
you have X number of potential veiwers

if you filled the gabba with 40K fans on Saturday night
& anyone else wanted to watch the game but couldn't get a ticket
they'd have to watch it on TV

but not only was the gabba not full
it was barely half

& the TV audience ( a very good guage of depth of interest ) was at best appalling .. with only about 4 in 100 people interested enough to turn a TV on to even glance at it

85K is telletubbie re run ratings
a code in desperate trouble if this is all it can muster in interest

Hahaha, you wanna talk crowds. Oh dear, you way out of your league sunshine. And the gap between the AFL and NRL grows bigger and bigger each year.

That aside, and back on topic, considering the on field performances of the Lions and Suns this season, those tv ratings are good in the circumstances.

ah no
its closing ... the NRL bordering on its highest average ever despite the wettest Autumn / Winter in NSW & QLD in 60 Years

the AFL looking at its lowest in 8 years ... & it will drop further next year
GWS will drag it down further in 2012

that crowd for the AFL in Brisb on sat night , & those TV ratings were horrendous ... simply appalling
that is all

No it does not.

If it was NRL 1 through to 8 every week without fail, then there would be an issue.

the AFL's 5 shows .. 4 games & 1 other show ..817K

our average 241K
the AFL's .... 163K

our programs conservatively & consistently attract 50% more veiwers
week in ... week out
