Yep. Seems like it's a bit harder during this time of C-19 for Gilty to keep this type of stuff under cover. He's actually getting a little blow back from this one. Maybe because they're all living and playing outside the ultimate AFL bubble in Melbourne it's harder to get the hush money going and apply the MOU's etc.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2020 3:37 pmLaughed when i read this,

Tough times for Gilty and the boys. It must be hard when the truth comes out & you're not used to dealing with it!!!!!!

lol AFL have back tracked..
AFL journo Mitch Cleary ‘acknowledges mistake’ after being stood down
The AFL says journalist Mitch Cleary “did not follow his department’s editorial decision” when he tweeted Brooke Cotchin’s spa trip Instagram post last week.
In a statement on Monday afternoon, the league said it had concluded an “internal matter” regarding Cleary.
He was stood down after sharing the post by Cotchin which led to Richmond being fined $45,000 for breaching hub rules, bringing into question the independence of AFL Media - which is owned and run by the league.
According to the league Cleary “has acknowledged it was a mistake” to post the photo, and he has now returned to work.
“The AFL has today concluded an internal matter regarding a member of the AFL Media team, Mitch Cleary,” the statement read.
“Last week, AFL Media (AFL.com.au) made an editorial decision to not name any family members relating to the recent club breaches of the Return to Play protocols.
“The reasoning behind this decision was to protect the well-being of all individuals involved, a message that was reiterated in the official AFL Media Statement on Friday afternoon (31 July).
“Mitch mistakenly did not follow his department’s editorial decision and named a family member on his own personal twitter channel on Friday evening.
“Upon speaking to his Editor and then realising his tweet was at odds with AFL Media’s editorial decision, Mitch immediately removed his tweet and has acknowledged it was a mistake on his behalf.
“The matter has now been resolved internally with Mitch today co-hosting the weekly show AFL Exchange on AFL.com.au.”

I thought he was in trouble for revealing the identity of the WAG, not for disclosing the issue overall. Heck, even Collingwood's coaches were named and shamed with no issue.

Yeah, Gilty had had enough and went into cover-up mode as usual. Unfortunately the virus has blown his cover & journalists outside the bubble are asking questions. Sad times for Gilty when a bloke can't cover up an incontrovertible truth. What has the world come to lololololololol???????????NlolRL wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2020 6:33 pmI thought he was in trouble for revealing the identity of the WAG, not for disclosing the issue overall. there was no cover up! All the AFL employee did was retweet a story that had already broken. However, they are told specifically not to violate the privacy ofrelatives which is what he did.Terry wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2020 6:47 pmYeah, Gilty had had enough and went into cover-up mode as usual. In the past Gilty and the boyos woulda been all over it but it seems the virus has really put 'em off their cover-up, hush money MOU game. So instead they sacked the bloke. But then they got push back so they re-instated him.
It seems the supreme leaders mojo maybe slipping. This is gonna be a big test if Gilty and the boys have to stick to the truth all the time. Strange days indeed mama!!!!!!!

If the AFL media department are told not to violate the privacy of player relatives, and do so anyway, I have no issue with them being terminated
