Staying at a small venue is a very good way to inhibit an expansion of one's membership. If Homebush is such an attractive venue it should be drawing larger crowds consistently, so many NRL teams should be trying to play their home matches there. This is why Melbourne AFL clubs concentrate on two large venues in Melbourne and it comes to pass that the AFL's average attendance is much larger. The NRL would do well to follow that lead, but first they must create interest in all clubs. An interest that presently does not exist to the same extent.
Really :?

so why then did GWS choose to have the Sydney Showground renovated to a capacity of only 25K as their home ground

when 100m from this venue
is the 83K seat ANZ stadium

so GWS are inhibiting their membership too are they ?
Quite pertinent there Raider. I wonder whether this tosser has also thought of the fact that the two large stadiums in melb are centrally located to the city compared to homebush which is a train trip out and in the middle of boringville.

But first Truthslayer please answer Raiders point

A centrally located in the city stadium does not help the NRL with crowd numbers in Sydney or Melbourne. Why is that. Product on offer perhaps? Can't be the centrally located in the city stadium surely?

well why use the Showground at all ?
theres a big stadium more then 3 times its size right next door

as TLPG says
playing at small venues limits ones memberhip
I think its a fair indicator that GWS know they won't have many members
I think they're right

no rail station next door to the SFS/SCG ..like the 2 stadiums in Melb
$20 a car to park at Moore park too
& its hard place to get to at the best of times ..

just ask the 19K who turned up there to watch the only AFL side in Australias largest city last time they played
at Least I think that was the reason :-k

or was it the product :?>
hmmmm .. me thinks
a bit from column A ... a lot from column B
