Adelaide to host richest game in rugby league history
South Australia has trumped “rugby league” states to host the richest game in rugby league history with the Adelaide State of Origin fixture to earn the code $75,000 per minute.

Awesome. Soo is massive... a bit like the olympics, grand finals, Melbourne cup etc in that people like to watch these events ... regardless of interest in the sport per se. So well done soo and good decision by the arl (or is it nrl) to expand the game and use this marquee event to do so. For week everyone will be talking soo in Adelaide and the rating will be higher I suspect. Same happens when it comes to Melbourne or Perth etc. so great move. The benefits to SA will be massive .. people flying I. From nsw and qld ... hotels booked, shops busy. Money well spent and a win win.
