AFL can't even field a competitive reserve grade club outside Australia.
Is actually very funny.

Re: 2020 Battle of the Codes .
Literal lololol?????? Yeah...….cause he literally said, "if you can find an oval that holds around 20k people in Auckland we'll do it." He was then asked, "would you base a team there?". He answered, "yes". So yeah...……..he literally said it. You can talk about timelines all you like but he said it. And no......he wasn't vague. So it appears Gilty actually does give a shit!!!!The_Wookie wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2020 4:39 pmsays yes...then says theres no timeline for it to happen. Leroy will never say or do anything about or even criticise how fell nrlol league loons! only AFL fans so there or when he does he will send out a warning to every one on the board! question him about it and he will send out an individual warning or a ban for a period of timeQuolls2019 wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:57 amLeroy NRL’s question was specifically about the NRL, you know the major Rugby League in Australia, Fred’s comments were in response to that question, and therefore limited to the Australian situation.
For anybody to use international examples to counter a purely domestic discussion and scenario shows, either a total lack of comprehension, or a desperate need to grasp at straws, any straws, to support their irrelevant argument.
so if your expecting a proper counter argument your wasting your time as the usual league loons will continue to spam with their parrot responses.

For fucks sake, the NRL has Melbourne, Auckland and Souths that dont have Leagues club backing, what makes you think any expansion teams will need it. Not 1 English, Welsh, French, Canadian or PNGian side does either, and all run pro/semi pro setupsleagueiscrap wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:17 pmLeroy will never say or do anything about or even criticise how fell nrlol league loons! only AFL fans so there or when he does he will send out a warning to every one on the board! question him about it and he will send out an individual warning or a ban for a period of timeQuolls2019 wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:57 amLeroy NRL’s question was specifically about the NRL, you know the major Rugby League in Australia, Fred’s comments were in response to that question, and therefore limited to the Australian situation.

Re: 2020 Battle of the Codes .
I think as a business it would be silly for the AFL, the size that it is, not to have an arm of the business looking at potential markets and opportunities. New Zealand is an obvious step in the future and you’d keep an eye on this naturally. AFL has shown it is prepared to take risks ... and have failed a few times ... but they can afford to. China is stupid and despite the possible financial gains I think it is a bad look. But the AFL”s main focus I believe is the game and growing in Australia .... Sydney and Brisbane with Sydney the big one that needs significant focus and change for the AFL. And they are doing well. Swans are killing it. GWS struggling agree ... but grassroots and footprint definitely grown. After that then what .... so an eye to future markets will always be there. It’s what good businesses do. But your average punter couldn’t really care less I feel. It’s important to the couple of rl folk here as it is something rl has over AFL. So I can see why the constant references and why it is more important to you guys ... makes sense. AFL will really have no major leagues outside Australia. The best they can hope for is a team planted in NZ in the next 50 years I reckon.
