Check out the Swans tv ratings back in 1996 In the article below. Even the NRL struggles to average those kind of numbers these days in Sydney.

Still have fond memories of that night and season at the SCG. Ah, was the centenary year for the AFL too. My boof head even appeared in the AFL ad that year. lol

Why are swans ratings so crap now?
Second largest football tv audience in Sydney/NSW behind NRL. Hardly what I would describe as crap.
No that would be wallabies.
Afl only 2,000 more viewers than netball. Think of the millions wasted.

Love how wookies graph at big footy has all the competing codes, ratings bar the NRLW, why's that, because it rates good?

Let alone SOO and Internationals, nor Internationals for any other sport.

Biased, yeah I reckon, or just not posting the truth because the truth hurts. I wonder, you still reckon the swans or the AFL are only second in Sydney behind the NRL if you do the RIGHT thing and add the NRLW?

I get my information from tvtonight.com & other sources. I don't look at your stuff as you have a bias for the isolationist game
Dont fucking lie.

I know for a fact that Im the only person who put out the data. TV Tonight and Mediaweek dont report half the Swans and Giants ratings. I wrote the TV Blackbox article that is an exact mirror of the one on my website.

The source data for the average for Swans and Giants games is me. No one else reported it and if they did they got it from me. Neither tv tonight NOR mediaweek reported any such averages.

The ratings data is the ratings data straight from oztam and you can shove your bias straight up your ass. Its good enough for Roy Masters to use, the ABC use it, and Im regularly used as a source by journalists from newspapers across the country for multiple sports.
Last year you claimed the swans audience in Sydney was anywhere between 50,000 to 85,000 viewers - of course average was 53,000. Your bias shines through. That's why I never use your data.

yeh because when im comparing - as the graph clearly says - Domestic competition - id do any of that. get your hand off it.

And if you look at the twitter feed regarding NRLW Ive explained why. The data isnt there for city by city at the moment. Its not an oversight, or a bias thing, im just having trouble locating it. (btw Not having Shute Shield on there was an oversight, but not one that changes much with its 11k average in Sydney)

But hey, you guys feel free to put out your own "unbiased" graphs with the data you have that i apparently dont.

I couldnt be bothered doing it, but if I was to do it, I would try and be as even handed as possible.

Poor ratings for the opener. We will be lucky to get 900k. Someone needs to remind these people that there gold medal winners!

#NRLEelsBulldogs
