No mention of any affiliation..........just a fair dinkum, dinky di, gung ho fumbling fan lololololol!!!!!!!
Oh.......but wait......a quick search finds the same Renee Thorn on Linkedin.........and lo and behold......who woulda thought........she's actually a AFL development coordinator lolololololol!!!!!!
Yep.....she's on the payroll. It seems to be converted to the great fumbling game requires a bucket load of cash!!!!
You gotta give it to the AFL media dept.......they're good lololololol!!!!

Meanwhile...
Hundreds of supporters flocked to Giants’ training at Homebush on Tuesday, but not a soul could be seen in charcoal and orange in Greater Western Sydney’s supposed heartland of Blacktown. About half the fans at training were school kids gifted a few hours off school.

What a way to indoctrinate these kids. I would be interested to know on a serious note how many were there out of their own volition ? This would be a good indication of how much more needs to be done and whereabouts they are at I reckon.
Another will be how many supporters will be there should they win to celebrate. I read something about compoarision to Storms first GF win in its second year - and how there was little knowledge of the game, little support and how there were not that many celebrating when they returned home. Is this where the Giants are at? What are the KPIs around this. Very interesting.

Re: Do GWS have any REAL supporters??
here it is
In Australian sport perhaps the best comparison with a Giants victory next Saturday would be the Melbourne Storm's 1999 grand final victory over St George Illawarra in just its second season.
It is not quite true to say Storm won that premiership too soon. Many members of that triumphant team would play vital roles in creating the club's now storied winning culture even if they never became household names in Melbourne.
But the Storm's modest premiership celebration outside the club's old headquarters at Princes Park — Molly Meldrum addressed a bunch of mostly interstate and Kiwi loyalists who were far more restrained than the standard Countdown audience — was some measure of the minimal local impact that victory made.
It was not for several years when the Storm had established deeper roots in its home city that the club's incredible success was parlayed into greater benefits including greater support from fans, media and sponsors.

I wish the Storm were hard to beat in finals ... especially last night.
Are you forgetting the 40 nil loss to Manly .... didn’t even score. By far the best side that year (and this) but that’s the finals system for ya.
Again.. 40 Manly .. Storm 0.

How many more goals did Richmand get than GWS. Was a lot more than 5.
Plus the Melbourne Storm won their first grand final. GWS got their arse handed to them in theirs

The Storm are way more consistent than the Giants.

Normal people would be embarressed at the desperate lengths they go to , to pretend they are far more popular than they really are .
Not the cultists .

Nrlol went in and asked for 30 mill and got declined
AFL went in and asked for 200 and got it!
Let you guess who has the legit figures and not glossy brochures with pictures and stretchy numbers, where dead shit fans flog off over

Re: Do GWS have any REAL supporters??
Nope
No where near .
What are the home crowd averages for each .
Where are the PAID ambassadors to spruik how great the storm is .
Where are the members buying multiple memberships to inflate the numbers .
So a gf qualifier last week had 114 k in Syd watching the midgets .
This week a Gf qualifier had 210 k watching the storm in Melb .
Nowhere near the same support .
You have NFI

Gws crowds and popularity are growing to be closer near to the Storm all the time! 20 years of existence to 7 & take in to the fact that the storm have been successful for the best part of that 20 years!
An after noon game to an even game even then you use a once off example as it suits your useless argument!
The swans have gone far beyond the Minnowbourne Storm when comparing so it’s now the giants! Give it another 10 years and you’ll be using the Sydney swans seconds team to compare the Minnowbourne storm against!
Bte those gone ground crowds for the storm vs gws were similar?
Gws playing in the state that apparently has bad attendance culture compared to Melbourne that has the opposite

Oh my
A mini meltdown
Happens when you post shit & get shown up as full of shit
So what is the solution .
Post more shit
18k home average is nowhere near a 12k average except in your little warped world
You lot rant about crowds then you try to claim that the storm & midgets popularity is the same .
lol
There's was about one hundred k difference in viewers in home markets in the Gf qualifiers.
Don't ya just hate when I destroy your loony arguments with facts.

Re: Do GWS have any REAL supporters??
Just as the Swans before them.
The Giants are carving out their slice of the fickle Sydney market. And you all know it....
Slow and steady wins this race.
And it is pure hilarity how much you loonies not only struggle to accept their growth but continually look to poke holes due to a level of paranoia like no other...
The thorn in your side sinks ever deeper.
