Rugby League crowds have increased by 24 per cent in Melbourne compared to 2015 while the Storm’s membership has risen from 15,000 to 25,000 over the same period. That’s a 60% membership growth. Participation growth is 24% over the same period. See you at the game tonight. #nrl

Ahhhh percentages. The spin doctors tool of choice. 1 person could go 1 year and two the next. Wow we had 109% growth in crowd sizes. Now in saying that I think the storm are doing okay in Melbourne. Membership is good (for an NRL side) and they get good crowds regularly (for an NRL side in an AFL state). I think they’re doing okay. Whether they are leading the way in regard to expansion. .... I think the Swans have them on that one.

The Minnowbourne Storm, keep winning, started playing in a new stadium around then and are still the most irrelevant football team in Melbourne

The suns are similar size to the titans and are in the gc and is a total different market Gollum

All up the storm are minnow and next to irrelevant in Melbourne! After 20 plus years and most of those successful! And only had one player from Melbourne represent them & the rest from interstate!

What’s gonna happen when the storm stop winning all the time

Back on this rot about players having to come from the area your team is in .
Was shown that gws have very little of their players from WS.

Nor should they. It’s not how afl works. Players come from all over. They do have the academy which is growing talent from western Sydney and Canberra I think with 30 players apparently going onto afl lists. The article I put up showed noted a young bloke from western Sydney who went into the giants list. Think he has played a game or two as well which is a good effort.

Would be interested how many western Sydney players are on afl lists though. I don’t suspect too high but as noted by someone else, this is growing. Western Bulldogs don’t only recruit for. Western suburbs if you get my point. It’s a draft.

Afl has a draft, players get nominated and can be drafted by any one and be playing anywhere on the country!

Nrlol clubs have catchment feeder areas!
1 player in 20 odd years to play for the Minnowbourne Storm crapper l

If that’s the best you have!
Gws have been a roaring success in their 7 years and Storm total failure in their 20

Hey ease up.
The storm are greatest team in NRL history.
More minors
More GF's
More wins
Than any other team.
They've had the holy Trinity of players.
The "Slater" the "Cronk" and the holy "Smith".
With Smith the GOAT holding just about every record that counts.

As far as NRL standards are concerned they make other teams look 4th grade instead of 3rd below country and state.

In that case, you’d think the storm the greatest league team of all would be generating hype in the junior leagues or among the kids today to be knocking down the doors of their feeder teams or comps to emulate those greats of smith, cronks or slater!

Or at least raid some of the local rugby league leagues for some juiced up fatties to take the field! :-k

Yeah the storm are the greatest ever, they have gone past St George who won 11 grand finals in a row. Don't know when it happened, but if an afl fan has stated it, it must be true.

Well given the lack of care of the Minnowbourne Storm afl fans seem to have, it can hardly of been an afl fan who came up with the slogan “greatest team ever”

More a case of a league fan trying to come up with a slogan to capture the attention of the afl fan, & failing to do a good job at it!

Btw we don’t care about the drag queens and their grand final wins! Such a great feat yet only a few will care
