Yeah that’s obviously the reason why the tv networks, including the home of the NRL Channel 9, persist year after year in putting AFL programs on.AngloFootballLeague wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:47 amPeople can but don'tBeaussie wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 9:54 pmI’m almost certain you just make shit up as you go.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 4:44 pm
Mate I can watch NSW Club Rugby on 7two, Super Rugby is on 10 Bold every Sunday too.
So here we have two Rugby competitions getting coverage in Sydney. VFL gets ZERO coverage but Club Rugby does.
In Sydney one can watch the AFL on Channel 7 and 7mate along with the NEAFL prime time on NITV.
And let’s not forget all the AFL related tv programs (eg: AFL Football shows) on the 7 network, 9 network and NITV and all broadcast in Sydney/NSW.
Nothing for Rugby Union and more AFL programming than even the NRL gets. Go figure eh
Again for those following at home, AFL is the No.2 code in NSW. It’s a well established fact now.

To fill time slots. If this shit rated it would be on prime time on main channel.Beaussie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:27 amYeah that’s obviously the reason why the tv networks, including the home of the NRL Channel 9, persist year after year in putting AFL programs on.AngloFootballLeague wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:47 amPeople can but don'tBeaussie wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 9:54 pm

You’re delusional. Shute Shield is lucky to crack 12,000 - 14,000 viewers.. Total.

Nup, lying again.
Gee you throwball fans have major issues with the AFL’s popularity eh? It’s Australia’s Game... bout time you lot got used to it.
NRL 128,000
Wallabies 125,000

Swans on main channel. Better comparison with prime time game on mate which rated 8,000. According to your figures shute shield rated higher. Thank you.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 3:43 pmI do.
Shute Shield rated 13,000 (peak: 17,000) on 7two in Sydney between 3 and 5pm on Saturday.
The Swans rated 47,000 (peak: 53,000) on 7 in Sydney between 2 and 5pm on Saturday.
The LOWEST rating split for the AFL was double the Shute Shield peak.
The Shute Shields ratings a pathetic shadow of its former self

Rugby's third level comp outperforming Anglofl, both on secondary channels is telling.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 5:07 pmAccording to certain league posters on this board, what channel its on makes no fucking difference. Stop spinning. From memory swans have achieved figures near or over 80,000's only twice this year, but have been under 50,000 quite a bit including last two weeks.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 3:34 pmSwans rated 47,000 earlier in the day. generally in the vicinity of 50-80,000. One was on main channel other was not. Anglofl on secondary channel in prime time rated lower than shute shield. Fact.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:31 pmexcept it didnt. Ive proven this more than conclusively. They were on at the same fucking time and the AFL got 4 times the ratings.AngloFootballLeague wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:50 pm

Averages 54k but range is 50,000-80,000? You count peak ratings but ignore many times figure dipped under 50,000. Dishonest post.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:45 pmlast week was 61,000 jackass.AngloFootballLeague wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:05 pmStop spinning. Stop spinning? I said generally between 50,000 and 80,000.
Swans average rating for the season is 54,000 (syd only).
Shit Shield rating average is 13,000 (syd only)
Super Rugby replay average is 11,000 (national 5 city)

I have never counted peak ratings, half the swans ratings this year arent publicly reported, so I KNOW you dont know what the fuck you are talking about.

Gee whiz, keep digging dude. Actually, I highlighted his misrepresentation of swans ratings. Average 54k, but his range went from average rating to highest.Beaussie wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:20 pmGee whiz, keep digging dude. I didn't argue any of that. Merely pointed out shute shield hidden on 72 rated higher than anglofl on mate.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:20 pmThey have, but the overwheming majority of games are over the 50k mark.AngloFootballLeague wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 1:11 pmI know swans have rated below that range multiple times this year.
You know how many time the Shute Shield went over 20k this year? And the shield hasnt outrated the swans in some time.

Pretty amazing given the exposure anglofl gets here in Sydney; every game covered on every news, more ads than any other code, endless promotions & cross promotions. Shows throwing money at something doesn't = interest.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 8:36 pmA Sydney rugby competition on Saturday afternoon outscored two Melbourne teams on secondary channels on a Saturday night - by a tiny margin. And you utterly ignored the fact that it was flogged by EVERY swans game this season whether on 7 or 7mate. Hell I think pretty much all Giants games beat it as well.
Lets not also forget that of the second tier sports competitions, the shute is the lowest rating of them all. Behind the SANFL, WAFL, VFL, Qld Cup and NSW Cup
