Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Come on Fred you've been duped again pal. All the crowd sits across from the camera side of the ground. It gives the illusion of being 'good'. There is literally no one sitting in the area's that the camera's don't show. No one!!!!!
It's kinda the opposite effect folk get at Un-named stadium Sydney. How people can not understand this I do not know. It's basic illusion pal!!!! Get on board!!!!!

Round 20
AFL Ave 33116
NRL Ave 14308
GWS vs Sydney 161167
Very disappointing, I was expecting higher than 24,000. Not to be, however it was still higher than 7 NRL games this weekend, as usual Brisbane saved you.
For all the chuckballers that critised the GWS attendance, in the words of the great Jack Dyer, you need to take a hard look at yourselves.

******** fits well.
Number of letters and the literal definition.
Now,
I realise some of the Leaguers on here are a bit sensitive about certain language.
So we can all thank Wookie for refraining.

So just to be clear if you use the word that defines someone as less advanced in mental, physical, or social development than is usual for one's age.
AKA Terry.
It will be sensored.

yeah me too, i lived on the north shore, sum that followed Rugby Union also followed AFL>Beaussie wrote: Tue Jul 30, 2019 9:56 pmMany former Rugby fans are now AFL fans. I know quite a few regulars at SCG Swans games.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Tue Jul 30, 2019 2:22 pmAFL has most certainly taken a share out of Rugby union> what percentage would be interesting..Fred wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 11:13 amSerious question. When you say Swans are team of the elite do you think they (AFL) have stepped into the void left by RU.
I also wonder whether this AFL v rl thing that we see mainly in the rl states is due to their being a culture of competition between rl and ru over the years as to which is better ‘, bigger etc. with ru no longer really in the race has AFL also stepped into that void?
i think the battle between League & Union is more in ENGLAND than it is here.
Feel sorry for the Waratahs actually.
But one intriguing subplot in the war for football supremacy that is less discussed is the battle between Australian rules and rugby union that is playing out in parts of Sydney.
Yet, while the AFL has undeniably made inroads into rugby's turf at a grassroots level, it's in the professional realm where it is has really pulled away.
The Swans average attendances, TV ratings and memberships long ago surpassed those of the Waratahs and now completely dwarf them. And the eastern suburbs and north shore (as well as the Hills district and Sutherland shire) are **** the strongest areas for Swans members and fans, according to membership data viewed by the Herald.
https://www.smh.com.au/business/compani ... 4zyjm.html
or are sick of Union all together and follow the Swans.
the demise of Union on the North Shore and the growth of AFL over the past 10 years.
is quite noticeable.

Dragons vs Titans
“But, sadly, the lowest Kogarah crowd in the joint venture’s 20-year history - a paltry 6532 fans - turned out as the Dragons put the Titans to the sword with a 15-minute second-half point-scoring blitz.”
