judging by those figures,

i would say Rugby league overall will win total figures.

however

NRL SEASON v AFL SEASON will be a tight finish

AFL 8 mill in front >

NRL 1 extra round in play
and 5 LIVE Saturday Games at end of H&A Season
making it 4 live FTA games per week.

QLD teams playing poorly who are sitting 13,14,15th Quite remarkably are hurting QLD figures.

Shall be interesting finish..
I don't think the good ol' girl RL has it in her.
A 3mil lead now.
And with the trends as they are....
7 more rounds should add another ~3mil.
Then finals a probable extra ~3mil

Do you think the NRL extra round and 5 extra FTA games has ~9mil in them?
extra NRL round close to finals> will bring around 4mill.

the Extra Saturday FTA games will bring in about 400k+ per game with FTA.

so you are looking at an extra 6 million there no problem..

(i looked at the fact AFL have no Thursday games scheduled) bringing down the Avg Total per round.

Finals for AFL is looking very strong..

And the NRL.....?
NRL had 2.5mill (4 games)

AFL has 3.3mill (9 games)

As i said, will be interesting finish coming up
once NRL goes to 4 FTA and 8 games.

Once Again we will be the most watched code in Australia:cheers: Though I think the Ashes will cut into our gains too much for us to catch up to them at club level. But it will be interesting to see how close we get.

That goes a long way to explaining why the Sun's home game pulled a bigger crowd than all 4 NRL games.
Wow!!! Indeed.

Yeah the Ashes will be a hit to both codes,
especially being broadcast in prime time every night for 7 weeks
will be hitting around 800k to million viewers nationally every night. (prime time)

Were the 4 nrl games shown in isolation? ... there are many machinations to take into account. But one thing that can’t be disputed is that when we have as close as possible the same situation... afl almost always out rated the nrl . Friday night, Thursday night, and the very clear one ... finals.
