You see, the fact of the matter is there is simply no higher level AFL match played in Perth than finals footy. The grand final is in Melbourne so in actual fact finals footy are the most important matches ever to be played at optus oval. That’s fact.

Of course Perth is AFL heartland and all but what happened last Sunday night showed origin is just a bigger and more important event.

Importance is entirely subjective. As a one off event, in isolation, yes its bigger than anything else to date - but will probably be surpassed by the Chelsea/Glory game and maybe even the Bledisloe which are all being held there.

Didnt see you say shit when Liverpool sold out the MCG against Victory, or any of the big EPL teams games at ANZ.
