Somehow these braindead fools think the ratings are magically going to be far better .

Sadly fir them people in the northern states seem to know how to use a remote

So it doesn't look like there'll be much difference
Why does for every game the secondary channel go, mate etc rate lower than the trilateral main channel 7, 9 etc

This applies for all states

Loon
Perth, rarely , if ever out rates Adelaide: Friday Night. Adelaide and Perth both shown live. Perth on 7mate were thrashed yet still managed to out rate Adelaide , shown on the main channel But, But, But .
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

err thats the point, almost double the population and being on 7mate and non-prime time lowers their ratings

What a load of BS Wookie, you've had a heap more FTA than us. Wont save you in the end though. We all know how this turns out
Adelaide and Perth get 10% more games on FTA than NRL in Brisbane and Sydney but lose ratings because of games on 7 mate, lack of prime time games and some on delay. The crows were shown on 165 minute delay in Adelaide on the weekend
Make all the excuses you like about poor Perth & poor Adelaide but along with Sydney and Brisbane would make up more than half your rating . And your 10% more games figure would be closer to 25%!
Errr no. AFL rates 600-800k on FTA and 350-400k is Melbourne and 100k Vic regional.

I've done this before pal. This is what makes this site so tiresome to intelligent posters. It's the same arguments over and over and over again. We hammer you with facts, figures, statistics and evidence. You come back with the same base level idiocy time and time and time again. You know.......like.......back into the goldfish bowl we go!!!!!

Every sporting competition and broadcaster in the world have a microscopic examination of tv ratings. Per game. Per round. Per season. Aggregates. Averages. Every part of the ratings is sliced and diced and dissected. Different programs and different sports are continually compared. You know......like......the media organisations that put out the ratings every day. It's a comparison pal!!!!!!!!!

And you know why they do it???? No ya wouldn't because you're a dill. They do it because that's how they make their money. You know.....like .......if the NFL rates higher than MLB they get more money. And how do they do that I hear you not ask???? They compare the ratings. Per game. Per round. Per season. Aggregates. Averages. Every part of it.

So there you have it............again........after the last time......and the time before that....... etc etc etc....!!!!!!

I won't be answering this dull-witted question again.

By the way: has your village found you yet...........idiot!!!!!!!!!!
what a load of blah blah blah.

Yes program's ratings are compared, but these are averages for individual broadcasts, not cumulative ratings over months. I've never seen Oztam add up all the ratings for the 6pm news broadcasts on ch7 and compare them to a different program like MKR. If you have please show me.

I'll make it even easier for you. Show me where cumulative ratings are even counted let alone compared between programs.

Everyone in the known universal uses figures, ratings, statistics of some kind or another . Try looking at the AFL/NRL annual reports . When 7 /9/10 are looking to axe a show they just don't look at how the previous week episode rated.
When the AFL and 7 meets for the next right s deal , channel 7 wont just toss a coin in the air and award the AFL 1 $b,

Try looking at that ABC graph , there are plenty of other examples you've been shown!
So you think they may ax a program that airs 2 times a week because it doesnt accumulate the same ratings over a few months as a program that airs 7 days a week?

CHANNEL Seven will switch its HD signal for the night to ensure the Anzac Day Eve clash between Melbourne and Richmond is shown in high definition on free-to-air television.

For the second year in a row the game will be shown nationally on 7mate and not Seven's main channel.

However, the network has assured AFL fans it will switch it's HD signal for the evening, with Channel 70 set to show the 7mate coverage in the best picture quality available.

But the league loonies have repeatedly assured us all at length for a very long time there's no difference between primary and secondary channels.
Simply because of everyone's remote control operational knowledge.
I can't see them changing their tune on this, it would instantly discredit years of debate.

#TVratings Thursday #AFL #7AFL #AFLDonsPies 1.044m (Metro 779k Regional 266k)
+ LIVE: AFL ESSENDON V COLLINGWOOD FOX FOOTY 315,000
= 1.359m

19 ANZAC DAY NRL LIVE -MATCH Nine 298,000 198,000 0 100,000 0 0
+ LIVE: NRL ROOSTERS V DRAGONS FOX LEAGUE 264,000
= 562k without regionals or 9gem. When these are included they'll be lucky to get 850k

So unless the NRL get 786k for gem and regionals the AFL will go 11-0 this season in head to head ratings :\:

What's more,
18 THURSDAY NIGHT NRL LIVE Nine 310,000 188,000 0 122,000 0 0
3 LIVE: NRL STORM V WARRIORS FOX LEAGUE 258,000
= 568k without gem and regionals. When these are included they'll be lucky to get 850k again

So the AFL DEMOLISHED the NRL during the day AND in prime time

:hmm:

So none of the NRL's last 9 finals or Thursday/Friday games have had atmosphere?

Maybe that's why you're losing so badly

looks like pussy is coming out with the classic excuse of the AFL favouring better teams on Thursdays and Fridays while the NRL share these games amongst their entire comp. Well, lets look at the facts:

In the first 6 rounds the AFL's Thursday and Friday games have involved the following list of clubs, with their ladder position from last season adjacent:
Rich 1
WC 2
Coll 3
Dees 5
Swans 6
Cats 8
Port 10
Ess 11
Crows 12
Dogs 13
Lions 15
Carl 18

If you insert last year's ladder position in the Thursday and Friday schedule then take an average the AFL have a ladder average of 6.9. For context, if the AFL played Rich v WC for all 12 games the figure would be 1.5.

Now the NRL have played the following teams during the same time on Thursdays and Fridays:

Roosters 1
Storm 2
Rabbitohs 3
Sharks 4
Panthers 5
Broncos 6
Dragons 7
Warriors 8
Wests 9
Cowboys 13
Eels 16

If you insert last year's ladder position in the Thursday and Friday schedule then take an average the NRL have a ladder average of 5.4.

SO there we have it, the NRL has been far more focused on better performing teams for their Thursday and Friday games. They've only shown 3 clubs outside the top 8 from last year after 6 rounds. The AFL has shown 6 teams from outside the top 8, which is double.

SO your excuse is busted pussycat. The NRL are getting flogged 20 - 0 for the last 20 head to head games despite having a greater focus on better performing teams.

tonight is the NRL's chance to win their first game v game in the last 21. NRL is 3rd v 5th from last year. AFL is 9th vs 10th from last year and 6th v 18th this year with North Melb having an atrocious year.

Should be an easy win for them you'd think
