In the first 14 rounds the Broncos fans can watch there fans 44 times. Comprehendo?

How does a docker fan watch their side play 50 times in 13 rounds?

i seem to come to the assumption..

that the AFL do this type of scheduling for a reason.
it benefits them and the Networks.

taking in sunday for example>> if the AFL wanted no overlaps in games..
it was well very easily to do so..

instead of >>>>>>> it could of been>>>>>>
GAME 1 > 2:20pm >>>>> 1:00pm
GAME 2 > 3:20pm >>>>> 3:20pm
GAME 3 > 5:20pm >>>>> 5:50pm

but they AFL do not change this..

5:50pm to 5:20pm is not really much of difference..
and this is played in Perth which would begin at 3:50pm instead of 3:20pm

i think if the AFL could make extra ratings in a big way they would of done it already..

Sorry, that should read a Perth FTA viewer can watch 50 matches in the first 13 rounds. just as it should read a Qld viewer can watch just 44 matches in the first 14 rounds.

Remember, the FTA ratings would remain similar, it would be fox ratings that would mainly increase. However for foxtel, subscriptions are what they want, not ratings.

but QLD catch up because their season goes for longer and they have 4 FTA games per round in the last month.

Remember, the FTA ratings would remain similar, it would be fox ratings that would mainly increase. However for foxtel, subscriptions are what they want, not ratings.

though if the figures are to be that big of difference 30mins change up here and there.
is not really going to affect scheduling for fans especially with 2 Perth teams and 2 Adelaide teams
30mins could easily be manageable..

otherwise you would be hearing about it.

For states outside Melbourne I agree. Melbourne and Sydney are basically the same. In fact if you love watching games involving clubs other than your own the NRL in all states is better than AFL in Melbourne.

I think the scheduling and length of the games negatively effects the AFLs cumulative ratings

If Overlap wasnt an issue how many games would people watch on a weekend ? I would say most people only watch 3 or 4 not 8 and not 9, And if some one did watch more than what the chance it was at a Pub/club or some other type of nightspot. Premises that Sydney has thousand more of . Remembering that only ratings from house holds are counted.

There are clearly a lot of people home in the evenings. When both AFL matches are on at the same timethose people are only counted watching a single game. If the games were shorter and shown one after another they could easily watch both and therefore be counted twice
