Rugby League leaving AFL for dead in Pacific regions.
The rise of teams from Samoa and Tonga has definitely increased the popularity of the sport with people from these nations.
Great atmosphere, cracking game. Meanwhile AFL can't even get another nation to play their game.

Re: Rugby League leaving AFL for dead in Pacific regions.
The AFL needs to invest some big money into the Pacific Islands to establish a stronger presence. The AFL needs to pull it's finger out and compete head on with RL in these regions. Problem for RL is that it too will be a runner up as R union will always dominate.
Bring back the Bears.

Union & League will both get the fair share out of the pacific nations..
if this Pacific Cup can get happening and be a yearly event
that will be huge for Rugby League and the NRL>> (this could be confirmed by end of year...)
AFL however will have next to know chance of getting any support from Pacific
