It is a No Brainer for the AFL to put a TEAM in Tassie.

6 games in Hobart
5 games in Launceston

Games will be sold out every match
Membership will eclipse GWS and SUNS 1st year..

Tv Ratings will be bigger than SUNS and GWS combined

all this for a population of 500k
Except 200k live in one city and 100k in the other, and they are separated by a large distance. As individual cities they do not have the population

I’d even consider watching a few games of afl again if the afl manned up and made a commitment to something that would actually mean something. You wouldn’t need no khunt or Izzy bs stunts, tho it was very amusing to see those nrl boys show afl players what real athletes can do.
Nrlols finest hunt and Folau did try and play afl!
At their peak, given a good couple of years as well on the list but only to be found out as to unco, to slow, to stupid, all around as plain to hopeless for afl

To they both sign up for union and are breaking records in that code!

Wikipedia:

The Reds even recruited local identity and decorated WAFL and West Coast Eagles (AFL) player Adrian Barich. Barich, having grown up in Canberra reverted to the much easier and feminine game of Australian rules football.

Barich, however didn't have the required skill level to make it in the rival code. Despite his reputation in AFL he was unable to make the starting line up at the new club.

Yes that is right they are two different cities.. never said they were not>>

they are 200km apart from each other>>

With Hobart going through a Boom at the moment currently sitting at around 229k expected to hit 300k in the next decade.

Now the team would be called Tasmania...
so it does not really matter where you play
there a 2 good stadiums
and population for the whole of Tasmania sits as of 2018 is 520k

Gold Coast is 650K for example.

the Amount the government thow at the Kangaroos and Hawthorn is Millions per year..

are you say they could not have a 20k average crowd.
10 million in sponsorship
AFL distribution
Government funding by TAS
plus Memberships

Tasmania would no doubt fund a AFL team

the AFL just do not want to admit they a wrong with GWS and SUNS

One of the major issues stopping a tasmanian club is the north-south fighting. If the entire state doesnt get behind the new club it will struggle big time. Why would the AFL introduce a new struggling club with no benefit like expansion?

Yeah the titans would get at least 3 times the ratings and they're garbage too. When they were doing well, even trolls at big spoofy were saying how well the club was going and how they should follow suit. If the team comes good, the crowds turn up, yeah rl fans are glory hunters, but so what. People want to see the best.

thats the point of an expansion market.......growth potential.

If the AFL are going to fund a new club they may as well do it in an area which can grow the game. Tasmania is already heartland

Still more than the titans :(/

Suns are in expansion territory and titans in heartland!

Or are they

If you want to mock expansion! How’s the Minnowbourne Storm going! A great example
One of the most successful teams in the NRLOL over the last few decades, yet still the most minnow of all the so-called professional football sides in Victoria
