Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
I accepted the cumulative ratings are like the participation award long ago. If the NRL cant rate more than the AFL on like v like at least they tally more when they count up all their extra games on TV

extra games
You have 198 games 77 are shown on FTA.
We have 195 games of those 75 are shown on FTA.
As NZ ratings aren't counted we actually have more like 183matches and still win win by a good 10million ratings each year.
And by the way. The NRL has full control of our draw. And we pick our TV matches from day 1.

Exhibit A.NlolRL wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 4:24 pmI totally agree the NRL got more per content hour. However, there are reasons for this:AFLcrap1 wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:51 pmJust to highlight what a totally moronic biased tool you are I will once again ask why
Do you discount the hrs argument ( that is your default fallback position)...& it's only yours ..when it's applied to which code got the more valuable media deal .
MEDIA DEAL.
If we go by raw numbers ..AFL
If we go by which is most valuable per hour NRL
Yet
On TV RATINGS
If we go on raw numbers ...NRL( yet you can't accept raw numbers )
If we apply your fucked up theory ..apparently it's AFL .
So which is it .
Raw numbers
Or hrs....
Or does your cult like thinking not allow you to concede any win to RL
So let's hear your hypocritical reply
We will laugh once again as you make a fool of yourself trying to explain why raw numbers matter when it's a win to the AFL
Yet they don't matter when it's a win to RL .
- Syndey and Brisbane are 2 of the 3 most expensive advertising markets in the country
- Ch9 have a huge influence over the NRL's draw
- Ch9 insist on a twighlight GF
- SOO is included in you deal which is shown in prime time in isolation
- Fox get 5 exclusive games per round
- Every game is shown in isolation which maximises viewers for each
The AFL's deal is less valuable per hour because:
- The AFL insist they control their draw
- All but one game per round is shown against another game, cannibalising viewers from each game
- The AFL have resisted evening GFs for less $$
- Almost all games are simulcast on Fox and C7 to at least 1 market
- Only around 1/3rd of the AFLs games are in prime time reducing ratings
- The AFL dont have rep games to increase value
The AFL hasnt sold it's soul to TV like the NRL. They have accepted less money to keep games fan friendly
He says he accepts that the NRl got more ..then goes into a long winded rant why he thinks it happens ...ie .they only win because ....
You've clogged up this thread with your insane rants .
You just can't accept the AFL losing out in anything .
No Rl fan posts over & over & over about the nrl getting a better media deal when blah blah hrs hrs hrs .
I'm the only one & have done it to highlight your hypocrisy .
We accept AFL got a bigger deal .we move on to other discussions
You just can't accept that NRl wins the ratings . & post th same rot over & over & over
& you wonder why you're called brainwashed ...a cultist..etc .

you have extra available games to watch on TV because all your games are shown in isolation. It accounts for more than 50 extra games over the season.pussycat wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 4:55 pmextra games![]()

Your numbers are boosted by extra FTA games, FTA games shown into there own market. This extra FTA more than makes up for 2 or 3 PTV games!

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
That is Correct, FTA Triples your ratings compared to FOX
(also are you saying nlolrl
that the AFL has not bowed down to Channel 7 for your prime time games.. (i think they have)
(channel 7 have way more say in the game than you think..
rules changes, poorer teams being dropped from the Friday slot.
bigger teams added to the Thursday Friday Saturday prime time slot.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Those are different issues. First off, do you concede we have less available games on TV due to concurrent scheduling?pussycat wrote: Fri Nov 30, 2018 10:20 amYour numbers are boosted by extra FTA games, FTA games shown into there own market. This extra FTA more than makes up for 2 or 3 PTV games!
As far as extra FTA games, these are only for our smaller markets, not Victoria. This advantage is more than cancelled out given many of these extra games are on 7mate, shown at 5.30pm on a weekday for Perth, and even on delay.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Victoria always play 1 game on Saturday night.
WA - day or night . always plays 1 often
SA ditto
And your Saturday night game is two half games making up 1 game .

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Yes FTA is triple fox, however the AFL's extra game is only for non-Victorian markets and almost always on 7 mate. It is also shown on delay into WA and SA.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Fri Nov 30, 2018 10:34 amThat is Correct, FTA Triples your ratings compared to FOX

ALso, this ignores the fact Perth get almost all games on delay and are 2 hours behind so prime time for us is not prime time for them.
The extra FTA game is nowhere near the advantage you guys make out.
As for TV controlling the AFL schedule, the networks would like nothing more than to play AFL games in the evening, yet the AFL still insist on daytime games such as the GF, ANZAC day, and 1,2,3,4.30 games on Saturday and Sunday.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
why it is true "some games are on delay" it is a small number.. and FTA fans without FOX
will still watch.. why it is also true PRIME TIME GAMES from eastern states
and viewed on 2hrs delayed, they still rate well.
i agree they would rate better without the time zone difference.
yes they are smaller states. But W.A and S.A rate well when they are shown there home teams
very well actually given the fact the population..
i know the NRL has 3 day games a week (i do wish this number was lifted to 4)
and yes the AFL have around 4/5 a week (but this helps with time zone differences
and twighlight games.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
If a nationally televised FTA game in prime time rates 1m a non-prime time game on 7 mate shown outside Victoria, and occasionally on dealy, would be lucky to rate 250k. That extra FTA total doesnt even come close to making up for the AFL's 7-8 concurrently scheduled games per roundleeroy*NRL* wrote: Fri Nov 30, 2018 3:26 pmwhy it is true "some games are on delay" it is a small number.. and FTA fans without FOX
