fumbleball zealots are obsessed with their seagull and chip abortion, they have nothing else to do or no other hobbies in their sad lives. Vic kicky is a Melbourne cancer, the rest of Australia dont give a shitCats_Steve wrote: Mon Sep 10, 2018 12:49 pmThere's so much more to do up there that even more people just sit at home watching on TV?FumbleBALL wrote: Mon Sep 10, 2018 12:18 pmpffft. Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
FInally good to see the NRL get a Big Sydney Team Match up.. this saturday between Souths v St George.
there has been very little of these Big Match up's in the NRL over the past 5 years.
due to the dominance of Brisbane,Cowboys,Storm.
the recent big match up i can recall was Souths v Roosters PRE LIM 2014
either way NRL is Guaranteed another 1 in the PRE LIM with the winner vs Roosters.
(the AFL have been very lucky in this department)

When you say the AFL has been lucky in this department, I agree only to an extent. There's been big clubs lurking about but it could be much bigger.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Tue Sep 11, 2018 9:51 amFInally good to see the NRL get a Big Sydney Team Match up.. this saturday between Souths v St George.

The traditional big 4 have not had a great run in recent years. Richmond rose last year to become clearly the 2nd biggest club. They were rubbish for a long time beforehand.
Hawthorns extended period of success and quality governance has probably lifted them into this group in place of Carlton. I think temporarily, if Carlton get their shit together.
Carlton have been a rabble for over 15 years now and Essendon was absolutely torn apart. I think some have forgotten how big Essendon were. Watch their enormous fan bases lift massively with success.
