Mate is way harder if you can't put your foot on the boundary line. It means it is harder to stay in touch when you have opposing players running at you.
In AFL you can put your foot on the line and keep running. Which makes things way easier.
I disagree. When you know you cant step on the line you dont, it's clear cut. Keeping the ball from crossing the line at any point is very challenging. Soccer uses the same rules. The player can cross the goal or side line without issue. But once the ball crosses either its a goal or out of play. AFL is the same
As for mobility, if AFL players are so mobile. Why do they drop the ball so much?
And fall over so much?
can you explain what mobility has got to do with ball handling? That's a pretty stupid connection. Fall over so much? What the hell are you on about?
Why are they given extra side goals and no crossbars?
Its a higher scoring game with easier scoring, hence the fact it's higher scoring. If it was easier scoring but the scores were as low as RL you'd have a point. A higher scoring game has advantages
If AFL players were so agile, none of these things that make the game very easy would be required.
Your logic is absurd. The same rules apply for both sides. Yes the rules permit easier scoring and more free flowing play, but the same rules apply for your opponent. The aim is to score more than your opponent, so the fat it's easier to score doesnt change the side that plays better, scores more efficiently, doesnt fall over, hits targets, defends well etc will win the game.
There are plenty of high scoring games. It doesnt change the fact that the more skilled players and teams rise to the top and become successful.
Haha are you seriously using soccer as an example??
The ball is round and kicked along the ground.
Of course they have easier boundary lines.
AFL is the only footy code that uses the hands all the time and has the easy boundary rule.
Gridiron strict boundary line.
Rugby Union strict boundary line.
Rugby League strict boundary line.
So this is simply done to make it easier for the players in AFL due to very poor skills.
AFL is also the only football code in the world with no crossbars and extra side goals.
Infact AFL has the largest goals of any football code in the world.
Bigger goals than soccer
Bigger goals than union
Bigger goals than league
Bigger goals than gridiron
AFL is also the only football code that lets you drop the ball as much as you like and is the only code that gives you a free kick at goal just for catching the ball.
No sport in the world is as piss easy as AFL.
This is why it is the only one nation football code. No other country respects a game that has such stupid shite rules lol..
