New sports touted for Olympics: Rogge

IOC President Jacques Rogge says new sports could be introduced in future editions of the Olympic games, but only on condition that an equal number of disciplines is dropped.
"We'll decide (about new entries) in 2005. Golf, rugby, squash and roller skating are knocking on the door," Rogge told newspaper Corriere della Sera in an interview.
"But for every novelty, we will need to give up a discipline. Nothing can be added. The golden numbers are 300 events, 28 sports, 10,400 athletes at most," he said.
Rugby would be my best bet for inclusion. Another event that Australia would be very competitive in. What sport would need to be dropped though? Syncronised swimming perhaps?

Out of rugby, squash, golf and roller skating, which one would you say has the best chance of inclusion? Maybe another sport?Dizzys_on_fire wrote:AbsolutelyBeaussie wrote:What sport would need to be dropped though? Syncronised swimming perhaps?

I'd say there would be plenty of sports that would have potential that havent come to my mind as yet, but out of the sports mentioned i'd have to say.......squashBeaussie wrote:Out of rugby, squash, golf and roller skating, which one would you say has the best chance of inclusion?
