Time will tell if it happens. But they should have a bit more success than the AFL is having in China.

Mate AFL has'nt even expanded outside Australia, Super rugby still successfully expanded teams into Japan and Argentina recently.SportCapital wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 8:44 amLooks like, likely include, if it, should have.
vs
AFL is.
See the difference.....?
Oh that's right the superior rugby code....how does it feel to follow a sport where you will always be the trailing and small version?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 9:05 amMate AFL has'nt even expanded outside Australia, Super rugby still successfully expanded teams into Japan and Argentina recently.SportCapital wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 8:44 amLooks like, likely include, if it, should have.

Don't think this will be a smart move considering all the travel. its bad enough travel to Africa, Japan and argentina.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 8:25 amLooks like the plan is a 4 conference expansion to 20 teams which will likely include a team in the USA.

Barely Im afraid but its still being played. Either way Australia is only a small piece of World rugby. The game is expanding and with MLR in Usa kicking off and the new South American rugby comp starting next year expect it to get even bigger.SportCapital wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 7:09 pmOh, wait a minute.
This is the proper rugby comp.
Is it played in Australia?
Mate both rugby codes are superior to AFL, that is what counts.docker24 wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 7:23 pmOh that's right the superior rugby code....how does it feel to follow a sport where you will always be the trailing and small version?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 9:05 amMate AFL has'nt even expanded outside Australia, Super rugby still successfully expanded teams into Japan and Argentina recently.SportCapital wrote: Sun May 06, 2018 8:44 amLooks like, likely include, if it, should have.

I don't get why that don't just have a giant global comp with relegation or conference style and include all nations teams in both hemispheres.rugby365 wrote: Mon May 07, 2018 3:10 pmBarely Im afraid but its still being played. It will be logistical nightmare and cost a fortune. A world club championship like league would be great but finding the time to do it would be the main issue.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Mon May 07, 2018 6:22 pmI don't get why that don't just have a giant global comp with relegation or conference style and include all nations teams in both hemispheres.rugby365 wrote: Mon May 07, 2018 3:10 pmBarely Im afraid but its still being played. Would be one of the best footy comps in the world.
Yeah theres been a lot of talk because the SAANZAR deal ends in 2020. Though i love super rugby cost wise it will be best for SA to go up north and Australia, NZ and Japan (Maybe Argentina) have their own comp. Hopefully by then Australian rugby would have sorted out their issuesleeroy*NRL* wrote: Mon May 07, 2018 5:11 pmwould be stupid for the ARU to expand to USA and the current super 15 structured comp
like what rugby 365 stated> USA rugby to make an north American comp
have heard reports that South Arfrican teams could split at end of deal in 2021
and play in Europe>
if I was them I would too>>
yeah logistically it is better for them money wise.rugby365 wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 10:45 amYeah theres been a lot of talk because the SAANZAR deal ends in 2020. it'll go down the lines of being aus, nz and japan comp. the pacific bring no money to the table and in the professional environment money is everythingleeroy*NRL* wrote: Wed May 09, 2018 10:58 amyeah logistically it is better for them money wise.rugby365 wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 10:45 amYeah theres been a lot of talk because the SAANZAR deal ends in 2020. for me, I like Australian sides vs SA sides>> but hate the time zone differences.
yes especially the last 1-2 years it is looking more and more like it will become a Aus NZ Pacific comp
(for me I think Ralene Castle is pathetic)
Yeah cost is a big issue. When I think about it. Is probably best to have a local comp in each nation and have a short champions league with all the premiers in each nation.rugby365 wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 10:43 amIt will be logistical nightmare and cost a fortune.
