I see scalpers are now trying to se tickets from hundreds of dollars. Apparently it's legal as the game is not defined as a special category or something
Just 1256 tickets sold to the great west Sydney fumbler fans out of 95,000. Questions now being asked about the 'membership' numbers the club claims. The below comment explains how it happens:

I bought tickets through that useless Ticketek (supposedly a legit company, authorised by the AFL but they will sell your details even if you opt out of marketing) for a game where my club was playing GWS. Imagine my disgust to get an email welcoming me to GWS about a week later! Even though I am ALWAYS careful to opt out of marketing, Ticketek still sold my details to GWS who added me to their database as a "member". Needless to say I lodged complaints with GWS, Ticketek and the AFL (GWS said “oops, sorry about that”, Ticketek said “but we pass on your details to companies that are for your benefit” and the AFL just ignored the problem, obviously hoping it would go away). But apart from the BS that Ticketek came up with to justify their inappropriate breach of my privacy, the thing that makes me laugh is - how many ACTUAL members do GWS have, and how many 'fake' members harvested from databases such as Ticketek?
