Oh my. There's a blast from the past. He certainly struggled in here and even league people thought he was a dill. Oh well, he has found a home. I suspect they even get into over there.

All im doing is asking for the evidence you have to make your claim. Why is that unreasonable? All the claims ive made about the one v one games are there for all to seepussycat wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 12:23 pmWhatever this claim is? your not going to believe me so ask Wookie.NlolRL wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:52 amyou've made this claim a number of times now, and I've asked you for proof. I assume your talking about the head to head ratings?NlolRL wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 12:31 pmAll im doing is asking for the evidence you have to make your claim. Why is that unreasonable? All the claims ive made about the one v one games are there for all to see
Last time that Wookie posted the rating figures was in NRL round 20(Page 44). At the Stage the AFL were in front by 2.6m. In round 21 we will say you took that lead to 3m. We had 4 FTA for the next 5 weeks. pegging back the lead to, say 2.5 million. In the NRL final round, there only opposition was the old men and a women's game. The AFL got 1.5m and the NRL got 4.5 .A difference of 3m.
Meaning the AFL are Half a million behind with just the final series and two Irish games to go the AFL can not possibly win . Meaning they've lost the rating yet again.
Better luck next year..............

Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
I agree. Plus the fumblers are counting pre-season, the ladies rubbish and even the old blokes game. At last count they were adding numbers for around 50 more games. Whilst Fred of course strikes out NZ ratings meaning he's only counting ratings for the home markets of 15 of the NRL's teams.pussycat wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 2:46 pmI assume your talking about the head to head ratings?NlolRL wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 12:31 pmAll im doing is asking for the evidence you have to make your claim. Plus some of the rounds Wookie has left out were massive weeks for RL and poor for AFL. It seems a tad strange that all of a sudden the ratings reappear in the first week of finals.
Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
Yet Wookie is the first to admit he hasnt got ratings from all sources eg AFL regionals. How you can then make a conclusion about totals is beyond me. What we do know is the AFL has easily won the direct comparisons, and continues to do so in these finalspussycat wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 2:46 pmI assume your talking about the head to head ratings?NlolRL wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 12:31 pmAll im doing is asking for the evidence you have to make your claim. So if those missing rounds go unreported we will have no definitive numbers for this year - only conjecture from both sides.The_Wookie wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 3:38 pmFor years we had bitching about NRL regionals not being counted, well now Im arcing up about AFL ones not being included.Terry wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 3:09 pmPlus some of the rounds Wookie has left out were massive weeks for RL and poor for AFL. Its worth noting that this is the first week in some time that we've had complete data provided - all metro and regional markets reported - and thats why this table was done.

The claim has always been more people watched rl ... not nrl per se. So if it is okay to include all rl then why not all Aussie rules? Do agree to not including international rules as it is not Aussie rules.
Also happy just to compare home and away season of each comp.

can we at least have the graph>>
and for AFL with no regionals have a blank space>> and fill it in when it becomes available.
at least we get an idea of how it looks..
thanks wookie

Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
Righto Fred - here is the fairest I can come up with: We count only the elite levels of both games. In AFL that is the domestic comp so we count every game H&A and finals. From memory they play 6 more games a year than the NRL. In the NRL we count every game H&A and finals plus 3 x SOO and 3 x Internationals played in Aus to get to the exact same number of games played.
We add the totals and it will show who gets what in Aus. In a separate table we add in NZ ratings which will then show full ratings for all NRL teams v all AFL teams.
That's the best I can do.
