I have no problem Mr Twit or his site. I do have a query about some of the unsubstantiated AFL regionals that get put down to MR twit and his updates.

The only reason theres a query in the first place is because before this season we rarely had AFL regionals published unless the AFL released them. A fact never bought up the NRLs "what about our regionals" brigade is that no ones regionals were taken into account.

Your mob liked to make out/promote 5 city ratings as being representative of Australia . Many AFL viewers still think that's that is case. But that is pure fantasy. NRL viewers are entitled to mention regions considering 20-25 % of our teams are regional.

There is no problem with Mr twit. Rather the problem comes from people using his name to substantiate mysterious/bogus updates. This has made him a bit of a running joke.

just because you dont like the figures he tweets doesnt mean he's a joke. In fact you NRL fans are the joke given you cant even call something by its name.....fumbleball, *******, Mr Twit, Essington, VFL, etc etc. So immature

Nobody i'm aware of has tried to deny the AFL Regionals and frankly I not sure what your on about.

5 city ratings have in the past been preferred by the advertises with their advertisement capturing more viewers but nowadays The regional channels show very similar advertising and programing to there city affiliates. For that reason, I think 5 city rating are becoming less popular and national ratings are becoming more prominent. though there a plenty of AFL fans who would like to ignore national ratings as it puts an end to there dominance.

5 City Metro is the "industry standard" and has been stated and used so since OzTam began.

Every network, website, forum, etc. will tell you.

That is what advertisers are interested in, becausae key demographic data (25-54s for example) is available.

Regional is only really used, to get a NATIONAL audience picture (e.g.) PR, bragging rights, etc.

The AFL on Friday nights (when there's big teams and/or close games) regularly rated 200-300k regional.

The reason why that won't work, is because RegionalTAM doesn't measure key demographic data (which is what EVERY network and advertiser looks at daily) (e.g.) How many 25-54s watched a program, etc.

However it also doesn't mean everyone in such areas liles NRL or even sport in general.

WB vs. MELB yesterday on Fox Footy, was the #1 program on Foxtel last week, including outrating all their NRL games! Almost 300k (despite being one-sided).
