I think it includes 3 game memberships ..... soooop if that is true then you are not getting them going to every game. So if you have say 30000 members and 20000 are 3 game memberships as an example, then you are not going to get 20000 at every game. At best and unlikely you may get all those 3 game membership holders go to the same three games but I doubt it.
All codes have similar membership packages doesnt make them any less members.

Not saying that. People saying that if you have 30000 members then should be that many at each game. Which makes no sense.

The Giants realistically have only ever had two or three crowds at spot the fan less stadium around that membership figure in their entire existence, we all know it, the pictures don't lie. Yet somehow we are supposed to believe?

Well bring on the new season, should be a laugh when all those empty seats are posted continually here, we'll see who the delusional ones are.
Lol take your tin foil hat off thickshit!
GWS are 3k off your crap little mob! 5 years of existence compared to 60 plus!

How's that going for speed of growth! A few more years and they will have easy passed those minnows eels!
All in league heart land!
Derp, you're one of the main morons with imagined crowds pasted onto your glasses, you're a galah mate.

See the cricket at the same ground, naaa you haven't, probably looks empty to you seeing as you think you see people during winter at spot the fan less stadium.

The problem i have with GWS and its members is that

1. In 2015 it reported 13,480 members (2015 AFL Annual Report)
2. In 2015 it reported a total membership AND merchandise income of 969,000. (see the GWS 2015 Annual report)
3. In 2015 assuming there was ZERO merchandise sold GWS averaged $71 per member.
4. Assuming they sold some merchandise and allowing for 40% of their membership to be juniors (according to the 2014 AFL report), they are still averaging a lot of three game memberships, which stands to reason given the Canberra games and the games in Sydney that people might actually want to attend that arent against less popular or crap teams.

Thats before I get to crowds. I use the AFLs official figures because theres no reports of fraud in them from the relevant Trust or the RAS or any media reports of faulty counting - that and the league has taken some stands against dodgy counting at other venues like Adelaide Oval. That said, anyone accepting the official figures from Big Bash and A-league games at the same venue should seriously be a little wary of the official totals.

I think wookie alot of memberships were $50 or under and were 3 game memberships, they were trying to get a following long term as they were not really supposed to play finals that year they were still building fan support (IMO) Last year they were more realisticallly going to finish in top 8 so my guess there should be more revenue due to more full season memberships being sold.
In the AFL, Ticket counting is generally organised by venue management, not by the league, although the league apparently does get figures provided by the company operating the scanners at the venue. Unfortunately, I havent been able to find out who does the counting at Spotless. its my belief that they are counting tickets issued, not necessarily actual attendees.

We'll be seeing my club around the 30k mark this season or next. Hit 22/24k last year so growing year on year.

Their currently on 18151 so I would agree they are on target for 25k but if they go well in initial 5 rounds this could easily reach 30.

Sydney Swans members have shown they are Proudly Sydney in 2017 by achieving a significant milestone in record time.

The Club has passed 50,000 members in the fastest time ever with the current membership tally standing at 50,226.

Swans vice-captain Luke Parker thanked those who have already signed up for their amazing support.

“It’s great to see 50,000 members have already signed up to be part of the team in 2017 and we would like to thank you for all the support you have shown us,” Parker said.

“The boys are absolutely pumped and can’t wait for the home and away season to start.”

Sydney’s General Manager of Customer, Jenny Thompson, said the speed in which the milestone has been reached is thanks to the passion and loyalty of Swans supporters, not just in Sydney but across Australia and overseas.

“Our football family continues to grow and we’re thrilled to welcome everyone to the team,” Thompson said.

“We know our members feel enormous pride to be part of the Swans community and we can’t thank them enough for joining us for the year ahead.

“As a club, we share the excitement of the footy season with our members and we look forward to seeing the stands packed with red and white each week.

“With 50,000 members now on board, the SCG will be the hottest ticket in town and a true fortress for our team. It’s certainly shaping up as an exciting season!”
