Looks like the Wanderes and Sydney FC will play the first derby in the opening round at ANZ, the aim is to get over 55,000.
Now that is a proper derby, not your invented AFL one.

Funny how the Giants have more members than Sydney FC and are closing the gap on the Wanderers.post_hoc wrote:Looks like the Wanderes and Sydney FC will play the first derby in the opening round at ANZ, the aim is to get over 55,000.

More people buying actual tickets and attending the game on a winters day in an open stadium as oppose to just sitting at home & watching it
Those figures just don't quite add up!
Oh well that's the sponsors flock to the AFL & why they get more in their broadcast deals

wasn't the last derby at Olympic Pk 17k
I predict this game to be 20k and 55k FTA tv ratings..
as its up against a pretty average NRL game Manly v Panthers.

Hey Bea, how about you prove more people watch Giants over WSW, I doubt it, I doubt it a lot, 15k on FTA suggests you are talking bullshit as usual, the little afl follower who could (tell lies like no other) not lay straight in bed if nailed to it.

How bout you or Parra prove that point. I take it you both (unlike the rest of us) have access to the capital city tv ratings breakdowns for FTA and STV right? Well we await your tv ratings breakdowns. This should be goodleeroy*NRL* wrote:there is no doubt about it

Ground configuration may slightly alter the capacity, but the Giants are anticipating a historic sell-out of more than 21,000 for a match that Giants chief executive David Matthews hopes will one day take on a State of Origin-like feel between east and west.
“We think we’re on track to beat that,” Matthews said.
“I think the rivalry builds all the time.
“We’ve got a lot of respect for the Swans and I know our boys absolutely love playing them.
“These would be the two fixtures our team would look at each year.
“You would love to think this rivalry will get as big as the State of Origin feel you get around town in rugby league over time.”
Lol
How pathetic
Trying to drum up interest by mentioning SOO ...lol
