AFL matches 198 matches.
RL matches 192 + 3 Origin matches + 2 tests = 197matches.

AFL FTA matches = 88matches
RL FTA matches = 72 + 3 Origin matches + 2 Tests = 77matches.

AFL about 500 hours or 300thousand minutes
RL about 210 hours or 126thousand minutes.

How many of those 88 FTA matches are shown nationally? How many of the NRLs are?

Adelaide - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
Perth - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
Sydney - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round

Gee Xman most of what you say is just plain wrong. By Wookie's figures the NRL is about 10 mill in front this year despite playing 13 fewer games. And the average per game is way ahead of AFL. Now that I think of it you are actually wrong on every point.

we've discussed this before and you just ignore it. The AFL dont have 9 watchable games per weekend, only 6 at most, while the NRL have 8. So divide that by the total and see who is ahead

So you are saying that to get averages the AFL has to divide the total by 6 only or they divide 6 into the total of only 6 games per week? Either way you are doing contortions to manufacture a better result for the AFL.

Surely all games count. Surely the AFL and the broadcasters put games on to maximise ratings. If they don't that's their problem and they should schedule smarter. Your argument fails on every level and a lot of what you say is just plain wrong.

Agree. 4 FTA games per weekend, 1 is delayed into Melbourne which offsets the 5 matches into smaller states.

Combine that with a maximum of 6 watchable STV games and the total ratings need to be divided by a far lower figure than 9 games per round

The AFL pulls in 591k per hour of content annually.

Having most of the NRL viewers on the east coast would also add to the price.

The fox ratings for the Ad v Syd game were 3 times the Melbourne game showing the national interest was far higher. So showing multiple games actually hurt our ratings not helped them.

So half our homeland didnt see a cracking game on FTA

are 10-20k are prob watching fox in HD

what and raiders v Manly was a blockbuster

your games go longer, so you win there with Extra advertising and game length
but you lose with overlapping.. (you cannot have both)

example.

same night. Eagles v crows Live into perth and adelaide
same night collingwood v sydney. live into melbourne brisbane and sydney

The two games rate big into each city. you get MAX figures into each city as you can get except brisbane

otherwise a reduction in the perth and adelaide markets watching the pies v swans games. as a standalone

so again you win / lose..

the NRL lose ratings wise by having 5 exclusive fox games
