AFL looks like a mad womens t.urd

its all ova the place

its like 36 sea gulls fighting over a hot chip
its a ridiculous sport that half of the country it was invented in cannot stand & want nothing to do with

there
thats a more accurate assesment wouldn't you say

Funny but I reckon that's an uninformed assessment Raider. It is something I would have agreed with before I played and watched the sport live. I've also coached and umpired the sport which has built my knowledge of it. Hi TLPG

I guess it's like any sport, it can look like chaos befoe you know the rules and structure.

I'd bet you've never been to a game live or played it before?

On the topic I think neither sport is more exciting than the other, both are awesome when played at the top level and the contest is good.

No that looks like the most biased assessment I've ever seen with absolutely zero experience behind it. And when I last checked, more than half the country supports it. Way more.

Don't you just love how NRL supporters claim all of NSW and QLD as their heartland. I along with many others who grew up on Rugby League in NSW have fully converted to Australian Football. I rarely even watch a game of Rugby League these days. I've no doubt I'm not alone. Oh and BTW, Radierdave, how would you explain the Swans and Lions getting bigger crowds, larger membership bases and bigger sponsorship deals than the NRL clubs in NSW and QLD. :P

Oh and the fact that some of the AFL greats came from the Riverina!! It's 50/50 in that neck of the woods last I checked. Not only that, AFL has a substantial presence in all six states and both territories. Not something that thugby can claim!

Now now you two. You are both sliding into your hypocritical personalities once again.

TLPG how did you "check" that "way more" "than half" the country supports AFL? :?> So you're suggesting that about 15-16million people in this country support AFL? Funny how you claim this immediately after stating raiderdave made the most bias comment

And Beaussie, I'm not surprised at all by the hypocrisy oozing out of your quote. You've basically claimed 90% of the nation is AFL heartland before! Where is that little invalid and dodgy map of Australia outlining AFL heartland you used years??
