by any definition RL hasnt succesfully expanded accross Australia. Wouldnt you agree? How about actually discussing the topic rather than resorting to infantile name calling :thumbleft:

how do TV ratings for a 3 game series prove expansion, especially when the vast majority of those ratings come from NSW and QLD? :[]

you're so typical of the RL fans on here. Every indicator is ignored except TV ratings and SOO. Hilarious stuuf to watch :(/

Xman the great dill is back LOL. If you can't count the Storm as an expansion team because most of their players aren't Victorian you must then strike out the Swans, GWS, Suns and Lions as rabble ball expansion teams because most of their players don't come from NSW and Qld.

What idiocy have ya got to say about that Caitlan Xman......LOL......
So Mal, how many Victorian players are in the Storm?

How many Victorians in the NRL?

How many AFL players are from NSW and QLD?

:)))

Any uncoordinated moron can play AFL. It doesn't take a great deal of athletic ability to play forcee - backs and fumble and bumble around on the ground.

Only a highly skilled athlete can play Rugby League At the top level. The Storm for example have players from all round the world England. central and far North Qld. Tonga, NSW, a few Victorians as well as Northern Territory, Bega, Fiji, NZ etc.

Its like your participation numbers. More people are tradesman than engineers. Only Because They Cant Be !

Thats some of the most flawed logic Ive seen on here. For starters 2 of your code's greatest athletes couldnt make it in the AFL despite being given every opportunity to succeed, so what does that say about RL player's coordination?

Furthermore, the more people who play a sport, the more are available to fill the professional levels. All of them would love to be paid hundreds of thousands to play their chosen sport for a living. If it was easy everyone would be at a similar level, but clearly this is not the case. Only the top small percentage make it, which indicates it is far from easy. It's like claiming tennis is easy because anyone can hit a ball over the net. If it were easy heaps of Australians would be lining up to play tennis for a living. But only the top few make it

the NRL rated a combined 16k from Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth last Friday. The Storm draw an average crowd around the 12k mark, and theyre the only team in Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth.

16k on TV and 12k at the game from 10m Australians. Maybe 1 or 2 professional players from these states too. So, tell me again how RL has expanded Across Australia? :(/

Dear oh dear Caitlan X....Man......you're the dill that keeps on giving!!!!! LOL....The 2 RL players you're referring to were pursued by the rabble ball hierarchy and given massive contracts to play your unskilled rabble of a game. They immediately played at the top level and were lauded by their coaches and fellow players.

After banking squillions they both quit.....because they wanted a real challenge......they were sick of the stumbling, fumbling, bumbling fools beside 'em.....LOL....

And what about the string bean Yank for Collingham the other week. Never seen or played a game of rabble ball a few months ago and then stars on the G. How easy is that!!!!!......I think it's great rabble ball can get these sub prime athletes from other countries and give the poor buggers a look at a 'professional' sport.....LOLOLOLOLOLOL>.......if you can call it that.....LOLOLOLOL

So you've jumped off ratings now youve been destroyed, and have changed the subject

Izzy and Khunt were lauded by their coaches (surprise surprise) and encouraged by the media, but their careers were nothing more than complete failures. Having said that, this is completely off the topic since they were recruited for marketing, not on merit.

As for the Collingwood recruit, he's been on Collingwoods list for 2 years, not a month or two. He was trialled 2 years ago and found to have the skills required to persist with. You need to get your facts straight for once and stop stumbling from one failed argument to the next

Pure & simply that's crap. Falaeu couldn't make it in league so he went to Union - a minnow sport, if he was considered any good a league scout would have picked him up. The drugo one fit right in at the Suns and despite his total lack of experience and his declining years was one of the Suns better players.

You seem to be forgetting the Rexona challenge. I'll remind you what happened, Rugby League Gold, gold, gold while AFL failed to medal.

Rugby League player have been far - far more successful at other sports because ,as far as athleticism goes they are a class above AFL!

Laughable. Izzy was considered an excellent NRL player but literally could not play Aussie rules. He had no idea, just wasnt fast enough or skilled enough. KHunt had played Aussie Rules as a junior so he already had some skill. But in the end he was a fringe player at best and only played because the majority of the Sun's list were fresh recruits from the junior ranks. Over his short career he average a dismal 11 disposals per game, which would be toward the bottom of the team.

Rexona Challenge is hardly RL's shining light. One player dominated, but he was small and nimble. The other ex-RL athletes in Lote and Sailor were terrible. Too big and too slow. All this did was show the Rexona challenge grossly favoured smaller athletes.

What RL players succeeded in other sports? DOnt say union, they basically have the same skill set. 3 ex AFL players have succeeded in the NFL. Haynes was a flash in the pan

Like most people we gave up handball when we went to high school - RL has to be one of the most basic of games with skill that any moron who spends all day pumping steroids into them selfs could master in an aftrrnoon - FFS all they have to do is hand a ball, don't have to have the skill to kick a ball, bounce a ball, hand pass a ball and to score all they need do is touch the ball over a line 68 m long. It's a game for morons!!!

Ahhh the old COS789 excuse, they have their TV's on the rugby league so it gets ratings but they aren't watching the the actual game, cos told me this, he went and looked in everyone's window in Western Australia a while back just to make sure it was an actual fact
