Sorry, Whilst I was surprised by the score not the result - have said for a while lack of depth and Muchael Voss wouldn't help them - but they turned it around once, can do it again.docker24 wrote:Yes very poor start to freo indeed, especially when in last couple of years they have been a powerhouse side. AFL however hard pointer leather slippery ball traveling at much fast speeds.
I wonder who is the most genuine fumbler.
On topic: Congrats Swans. Huge achievement and historic moment in sport in Sydney.
FYI I follow port not freo. Please don't ask about the Canberra game.

Both codes close on TV?. AFLs grandfinal got blown out of the ball park last year by half a million viewers. The second year in a row too.
AFL is a crock of shit to watch on tv. Which is why AFL is shown on 7mate in NSW and QLd instead of 7.
Total national peak
NRL GF 4.4 Million
AFL GF 3.9 Million
And that is not even including Pacific Nations like NZ.
AFL is even talking of night grand finals and golden point to compete now.

The GF ratings are highly dependant on who plays and how close the game is. The winner varies year after year. The AFL havent had a new winner of a close GF for 3 years now so last years audience was meh
You think the AFL is going to a golden point to compete with RL? LOL

Hold on Xman . We've had threads started by fumblers stating how close & even the fumble Comp has been .Xman wrote:The GF ratings are highly dependant on who plays and how close the game is. So how come such an even comp can have the same winner 3 yrs in a row . & 1000-1 shots after 3 rds?

Yeah and what's the excuse for the rest of the year? Anyway this thread is about the Swans having 51k members and the nearest RL club being 20k behind - talk about changing goal posts !NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:Xman wrote:AFL is a better game watching live at the ground for sure, yet still gets the highest rating home and away game and highest rating fox game every year. because theyve had a single stand out team for 3 years. They are less of a standout this year but still may win it again. Im not sure the premier is an indication of an uneven competition though. More like the number of teams who are uncompetitiveAFLcrap1 wrote:Hold on Xman . No, they average over 30k, which is not half. Its not hard to figure out. Many people take out memberships but only attend out 2/3rds of the games.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Yeah and they average around half that number, there are lies and bullshit, seems AFL house have both covered, what a lot of crap.

Paramatta has 21k members why don't they have 21k average for home games then??? Why do you apply a standard for AFL but not NRL?ParraEelsNRL wrote:so we should see 2/3rds of their games with 50k eh?

Parramatta has two home stadiums. Pirtek and ANZ.Swans4ever wrote:Paramatta has 21k members why don't they have 21k average for home games then??? Why do you apply a standard for AFL but not NRL?ParraEelsNRL wrote:so we should see 2/3rds of their games with 50k eh?
The Eels have gotten 35,510 on an April 6 home game at ANZ last year.
They also got 18,718 at Pirtek in March against the Sea Eagles in 2015.
So their good crowds are close to, or well over their membership numbers.
Now you tell me when a Sydney Swans home game has been anywhere near 50,000. I would give it to you if they got 46,000 at the mcg.
But so far your Swans have not even gotten close to 50,000 at home.
SO BASICALLY YOUR FULL OF SHIT. =D> =D>

the eels play many of their games vs a locally based opponent, so their crowds are bolsted by opposition supporters. How do their crowds go when they play an interstate rival like the Swans do almost every week? Theyve had a 17k and two crowds of 12k, just above half their 21k membership :>::NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:Parramatta has two home stadiums. Re: 50,0000 reasons the Swans are number 1 in Sydney!!!!
So their highest attendance was Sydney's Average crowd!!! Your full of shit - Sydney has 12k members in Melb who attend 6 games a year - Paramatta's average last year was 16k so 5 k less than their membership base and 4 k less than their home ground capacity (even though the 16k average was inflated by ANZ home games). Absolutely ridiculous argument!NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:Parramatta has two home stadiums.
