Who said the massive 20% increase effected rabble ball Chuckyman?? Who cares about rabble ball except you and your desert state mates. The NRL is up 20% and rabble ball is down 10%......FACT.

The same bubble dwellers will watch rabble ball after rabble ball game.......it's kinda like the poor devils have got Stockholm syndrome......they really haven't got a choice.

And you poor silly bugger....you're on about maximum audience ad nauseum????? Maximum audience is the total amount of people watching the game each week......because ......well....that's what maximum is......the most. You can cherry pick whatever you like but it just dosen't stack up Chuckyman.......you've got a continual bloody nose mate. Call in the cut man.....you're done mate.
If its a fact can you post the source? :_<>

Even if it were fact, which it isnt, the AFL is still a more popular sport on TV as shown by last nights ratings.

Cumulative audience is the total figure watching a series of games you clown. The cumulative audience for one round is ....., the cumulative audience for the season is ........

Maximum audience is the number of people who watch a single game. The game last night indicated our maximum audience is bigger than yours because none of your comparable home and away games has rated as high. Not this season, nor the last.

Now, onto crowds since this is also a crowds thread, can you explain why the swans more than tripled the NRLs crowd in Sydney today? :(/

Your chest beating is a hilarious to watch. It;s like youre coaching yourself through your tears

Gee Chuckyman I didn't know you re-wrote the dictionary......cumulative.....maximum....so you decide what things mean?? You must have some pull......or at least pull a lot....LOL.

So the NRL is up 20% this year, rabble ball is down 10%.......FACTS. Last year the NRL had the 3 most watched TV programs of the year.......7 of the 10 most watched .....and rabble ball limped in with 3 little additions from Melbourne and the desert states......FACT.

Wow.....with a 20% increase so far the NRL is set to smash rabble ball out of the park. Sorry about your bloody nose Chuckyman......LOL....

Can you post your source for these 'facts'? Because I havent seen any claims of increases or decreases in the media recently. Funny how you ignored the last call for this :_<>

I see youve ignored todays crowds in Sydney for the second time. Why is that? :(/ Embarrassed? So you should be

As for the NRL having the top 4 games on TV last year, all 4 were prime time games on TV, and none got the crowd that the AFL did :\:

The source is right here Chuckyman. The Wookies own ratings. He's a rabble ball man......so he cant be wrong can he Chucky ???? And.....old mate... the media will shortly be full of stories of the NRL's ratings bonanza.

And crowds......who cares mate. If you live in bleak city or the desert states why wouldn't you get out of the house for any reason. You poor souls get the biggest crowds for any football code in Aus. plus horse racing, car racing, golf, tennis, swimming......you name it.....you poor buggers live in such bleak places you would get a crowd to watch yabby racing...LOL.

What else you got son??

the Wookies ratings have many holes in them if youd bother checking, so using them to count cumulative ratings isnt really reliable. Think I'll wait for the official word. But in the end ratings is about $$$, and we both know who earns more :\:

About crowds, I live in Melbourne, the bleak city you say, while some independent judges say the most liveable city in the world. All we do is get outside and watch sport you say, well clearly you dont in Sydney. Interesting point of view when Adelaide have a 50k crowd tonight and the SCG had 35k today. Are they bleak cities too? What about Perth with their 40k crowds every week? It has nothing to do with Melbourne. AFL gets decent crowds all over the country, and the NRL trails miles behind.

What else I got? Well, memberships? Revenue? Sponsorship? A better question is what have you got? TV ratings that the AFL lead on any apples v apples comparison :_<>

NRL 2016 ratings after 7 rounds 28,209m without NZ Sky which were 1.249m after 7 rounds in 2015.

NRL 2015 ratings after 7 rounds 24,616m - of which 1.249m is from NZ Sky = 23,367m

Effectively the NRL is up about 5million when we do a like for like comparison to last years figures.

Cant be explained anymore simpler than that boys.

NRL 2015 up 5%
AFL 2015 down about 9%

NRL 2016 After round 7 up over 20%
AFL 2016 After round 4 down about 5%

AFL regionals dont come out for 4 weeks after each round, so Im not sure how you can compare their first 4 rounds to last year

The average foxtel ratings for the NRL on Friday night is 209k

The average Foxtel ratings for the AFL on Friday night is 265k

This is the only apples for apples comparison of foxtel ratings between the codes because both games are shown simulcast with FTA, and both are the only game on at the time.

And look who is miles ahead
