No you have given a lot of conflicting measurements - if it is purely participation then it is soccer,
If it is crowds and memberships and revenue it's AFL.
If it's the most professional comps well it's RU.
If it's TV ratings then RL.

Each code has its areas of dominance. But you are asking for things that are hard to quantify.

Participation wise .soccer wins most of the time ..
But in Australasia I'm not sure .
Plus besides participation ,interest drops off .

No I think if still would be - soccer is played in all those countries it really is the one consistent

Swans is correct, Football (Soccer to you heathens) is the most played 'football' code in NZ and Australia, hard to tell on that map but I assume it also takes in New Caledonia and Vanuatu which Football(soccer) is the most popular and I believe National Sport. Football (Soccer) is also the National Sport of the Solomon Islands.

So in that map it appears that PNG might be the only one where RL is the National Sport

And tell me this is RL the only sport played in PNG? Of course it isn't, it's not some utopian RL paradise where no one think to play another sport, RU, AF and soccer are played there so it's laughable that they only play RL. Overall soccer would have the biggest participation, AFL the biggest revenue, crowds and memberships, RU the most comps and RL the biggest tv audience.

But you said in Australasia - that 32 mil - there's 4 mil mad RU fans in NZ alone so you can't count that - there's 11 mil in nth states of Aust and 7 mil in PNG but not all of them play just RL do they. But as for other interest .....RL wins .
You just can't accept fumbles & bumbles having little to no interest outside Aust
