that would be a of part of the reason but not all. Rd1 was exactly the same set up last years
Rd1.

Great news

proves two things..
more FTA LIVE

= more Viewers

(if they only had the Saturday night game on FTA )
be interesting the last 5 Saturday games of the regular season as it is on CH9

Havent they had more thursday live games this year? Wouldnt that be the reason for the increase?
By Memory, the 1st round was a Thursday night
and the last 5 rounds were Thursday night.

So you've had 2 extra games on a Thursday night so far this year. Seems like a very good reason for the increase in ratings

what it means was the x 2 Friday night games 1 live 1 delayed was not working
and 2 live games Thursday Friday are a way better outcome
for the fans and the networks.

it is about time we got more than 1 live primetime Game a week.

not doubting that, but I think its too early to say the increase is due to fox ratings when you've had 2 extra live games in 3 rounds

Look at the cost though. Crowds down significantly

Fox ratings 2016 248k ave
Fox ratings 2015 211k ave

2016 3 live FTA games
2015 2 live FTA games

You can be negative all you want Xman but it does not change the fact that NRL ratings are up by about %28 after round 3.

think about it. You had 5 foxtel games a week in 2015, and only 2 were in prime time. This year you have had 8 foxtel games a week and 4 are in prime time. Of course your averages have risen

Fox ratings ave is up and 3 of the games are up against C9 FTA coverage.

NRL 2015
Round 1 ,3 live fta games
Rounds 2-22 ,2 live fta games
Rounds 22-26 ,3 Live games

Are you saying the NRL ratings are only up because we now have 3 live FTA games compared to 2?

I don't understand why your trying to play down these results for the NRL when clearly the results speak for themselves.

Your probably the only person in the country who can look at the numbers and say its not all that good...

Those Pirmetime games are up against C9 and still the Pay tv ratings are way up...

But xman your correct the ratings rise has nothing to do with Pay tv being up, as you put it still to early to tell..... ](*,)

Look you two clowns, I originally said your ratings were up mainly due to having 2 more live prime time games compared to last year.

I was then told that foxtel was up too so I replied that you can explain this because fox have also had more primetime games compared to last year. Yes, they are on Ch9, but most people with fox will watch it on fox ad free.

Your ratings will be up for the year if you increase live games in prime time by 50%, thats a given. Does it indicate a change in popularity? Alone it doesnt, no. Combined with a substantial drop in crowds you'd have to suggest the increase is due to more favourable scheduling

The 3 extra matches on fox each round lower the viewers for the 3 live matches.

Instead of having a delayed match per round we have a live match per round . This certainly doesn't account for a 28% increase.

Your delayed game gave you about 400k ratings. Your extra live game gives you 1m. An extra 1.2m over 3 rounds is a fair jump
