Now yesterday most of us witness last night NRL game at ANZ stadium (doggies bro vs tigers)
Or in AFL tigers vs the dees at the Gee.
Both games were a nice clear fine night, both were local derbies (Sydney team vs Sydney team) and (melbourne team vs melbourne team)
Now lets look at other glaring facts, The AFL ticket prices were more, the dees are the least followed team in Melbourne and the doggies are the most followed team in Sydney, YET attendance was 18000 at ANZ compared to 58000 at the MCG. Two local west Sydney teams, in a west Sydney stadium, stadium almost empty. If empty chairs were disguised as people it would look like a packed stadium.
I also noticed as flicking through both channels, how much more the crowded got involved in the AFL game compared to the NRL one.
The AFL also did so well on the pre match service for Anzac. As they always do.
Rookie can you do your magic and post up both TV views nationally from last night as I'm also interested in that too.
And while you're at it, the north Queensland vs new Zealand game that was played the other week, curious to see that TV views from half a state vs an entire country, you expect it too be massive right?
Anyway in conclusion yet another reason AFL>NRL.

I'll be honest, I did not even know an AFL game was on as was enjoying the Tigers vs Bulldogs match.
I am glad you found the AFL game boring enough to find the need to change channels to the more exciting sport of Rugby League. =D> =D>
Is totally understandable docker... if I was watching AFL, I would flick channels too as I know there would have to be something better on.

More like the other way around. Only good about that 18000 thousand Sydney local Friday night derby, was seeing the doggies get pumped and fans quiet, also not hearing much of Phil Guilds voice on commentary was a treat.
