thats why the eels, are only comparable to the minnow AFL clubs :(/ :(/

Eels

The Eels, despite a recent woeful on-field record, are still able to muster about $14 million in revenue directly from the football operations. This is still well short of the more than $17 million the club spends on the team, a deficit that could shrink in years to come as the on-field performance improves.

How do you know they will not average more at Parramatta stadium, every record for the stadium belongs to the eels you dope. They have filled the joint and had averages above 20k at that very stadium before ANZ was even thought of. The team has played there since it opened in 1986, they have only taken a few dozen games away from the stadium in that time elsewhere. So I have no idea what you are implying, well yes I do and I think you're an idiot as the past and the present show with facts and figures.
oi listen here eelsy and listen good :-$

no one in their right mind could give a flying toss what the eels were doing in 1993 or 1987 or 1970

we're talking about relevant facts! i dont care if you started balding in 1976 or 1983 ffs

pirtek in it's current configuration has been as is since 2010

anything and everything that happened before this that point is absolutely irrelevant. infact anything and everything that happened before october 2012 should be absolutely irrelevant because the wsw didn't exist until that point

now since october 2012...crowds of 18k+ at this very arena....

2014 WSW vs ALH 20,053
2012 PE vs WT 19,654
2013 WSW vs SFC 19,585
2015 WSW vs SFC 19,484
2013 WSW vs BR 19,369
2014 WSW vs CCM 19,216
2015 WSW vs SFC 19,138
2012 WSW vs SFC 19,126
2014 WSW vs FCS 18,986
2014 PE vs STG 18,631
2014 WSW vs SFC 18,080

In the crowds thread at LU, someone mentioned there were 300 tickets left a day before the game or on that day, wow.
300 tickets on game day well then this isn't even a challenge because you have no chance of getting a ticket to wswxsfc if you think you can book on the day of the event

bookings are shut down nearly a week before the game and any walk ups get turned away at the gate. "300 tickets left" the morning of the game is childs play

there isn't anywhere near as much demand for your eels as there is a derby game at pirtek. sorry but you can't even debate that.

So what?

Post all the crowds and be done, they still don't, nor will ever compare to the crowds the eels have had at the stadium, the ground is being rebuilt, it has been talked about being rebuilt since before the wsw were even thought of. Parramatta need a new ground, that's why they take their biggest games about 12kms up the m4 to ANZ stadium and pull crowds anywhere up to 50k for a round game or up to 75k for a prelim final.

Your team has not played in any home and away games with 50k, and they have not played in West Sydney in front of 75k let alone 105k the eels played in front of at the turn of this century.

Why don't you let the season pan out idiot, the sokka is struggling now the nrl is on, the AFL is only going to make it worse. The a league crowds have been dropping all over since the derbies have been played, you could end up averaging well under 13k yet, and that's the whole league. The WSW are shot, they have no big games left, it's only going to fall if they have home games left and they are already hovering around the 13-14k mark.

Parramatta started off with an 18.7k crowd, not bad for a team coming off two wooden spoons and missing the finals last year.

Onwards and upwards.

(ps, if parra keep their form up, watch for some crowd records to fall)

Yes yes, that's why they are averaging only 13-14k, it's all because they have sold them all.

Idiot.

Oh,and how do you declare the eels and manly as a derby, one team is in western sydney whilst the other is across the harbour in the Northern suburbs?

The hooligans are grasping at straws .
The good ship lol league has hit the Doc McStuffin iceberg & is slowly sinking .
The start of the NRL season has obliterated it ,& there's still the start of the Aflol season ..

It is irrelevant at the moment .

ze people are only interested in the averages at pirtek since....the wanderers dont play at anz...incase you didnt know

but you wont touch that with a 10 ft pole as you know the end result always ends up with wsw ending up on top of parra at pirtek...ery tymee

like derbies the world over it doesn't matter if your little suburb is located in the centre, the west, the east, the south or wherever - its a derby farken farken! you go to work with the same people, you see the same people, everyone is straight outta sydney homie

frankly, your desperate excuse as to why it cant be a derby(because its on the other side of the river) is the funniest thing ive read all day, thanks for that at least

this is also probably a reason why nrl has virtually no traveling support whatsoever. fans can't be arsed to get off the couch to go to games...let alone "cross a river farken" haha
