what do you guys think is more important the browlow or a grand final??? i mean from a players point of view?? because the grand final is your team being the best team for the year but a brownlow sort of singles out a player for being one of the best players of our time!
from a supporters point of view we're obviously going to get a bigger thrill out of our team winning a flag but just say you wur a player, they obviously have a dream in life to win both but do you reakon if you retired with a brownlow under ur belt you'd be just as satisfied as having a grand final medal???
haha i dunno bout anyone else but this is a real toughy and its got me scratching my own head
Maybe you can just never seperate the 2 medals???

THe Brownlow is a great honor, no doubt. But lets be honest, it is a midfielders/ onballers madal. If you are a key backman of Forward you may as well not turn up. That Jonothan Brown was not Brisbanes top vote getter this year is the prime example. Brown carried that team this year. Black is good, but no way in hell was he better than Browny. That he is under the eye of the umps, in the midfield is the only reason.
The Brownlow is not a true reflection of the "Best" player in the league.
That said though, Bartel was as deserving as anyone this year.

hey just had to get this off my chest that i am sooooo pist off that geelong have dropped blake for the grand final
boooo geelong i know they think they are doing what they can to win the flag but i mean COME ON!!! king who only played 6 matches for the whole season and i dont know if any of you read the stats from the ressi's grand final against coburg???? he only got about 7 BLOODY TOUCHES...
fancy puting an out of form player in the side and taking out someone who fair enough cant kick to save himself but is pretty good in the ruck and i reakon could probably get a few more touches than 7 against the COBURG TIGERS!!!
im really not happy at all with what geelong have done and to quote the movie pizza "VERY UNAUSTRALIAN OF YOU GEELONG VERY UNAUSTRALIAN IM VERY DISSAPOINTED"

What a let down for a grand final. Was expecting a tight contest not the embarrassment on show from Port today. Must have really hurt being a Power supporter today.
I often wondered what is worse, to lose a grand final by one point or to be thrashed. After watching the game today I would say the latter. I felt sorry for those Port diehards out there especially the ones at the game. What a let down after such a successful home and away season. I imagine that today's effort by the boys from Alberton would have hurt more than what I experienced last year at the same ground when my team went down by a point.
Oh btw, fantastic effort by the Cats today and well deserved premiership. So refreshing to see a team play such attacking footy with stars all over the ground. Congratulations Geelong. Clearly the best team in 2007. =D>
With Geelong's current crop they'll be hard to beat again in 2008.

Port will regroup from this and then watch out. All the vermin enjoying this will feel the wrath of a much more stronger, agressive and arrogant Port outfit real soon, especially to those Victorian loving scum the Adelaide Cows. This is a team that still dwells on the 1998 Grand Final and has done nothing since then. For a team that rants on about being the Pride of South Australia maybe they should rename themselves the Adelaide Cows..team for all Victorians. At least the other non-Victorian teams have loyalty to their States, the Cows rabble are the lowest form of traitors you will ever come across...We congratualte Geelong as they taught Port a very powerful lesson which they will learn from, but with the Adelaide Cows this is now civil war and Port will destroy you yuppie, range rover, chardonnay swilling vermin scum!

hahaha i was in a pub in adelaide watching the grand final in all my cats gear and you should have seen the looks i got! what a game for the mighty cats or the handbag men as grim would call them!! it will be a mighty heavy handbag holding the brownlow a rising star a GF CUP an MVP medal and the ressi's cup LoL.
yesterday was one of the best days of my life
i wanna congratulate the power supporters in the pub i was in becoz they took the thrashing very well..
I think its quite funny tho that every single crow supporter was barracking for the cats??? you might be able to tell me why that is grim i mean wouldnt you support ur state?
