Kaskill, I never said Geelong were playing ordinary footy. They wouldn't be X games clear on top if they were. The ones I don't like are Hawthorn and North Melbourne.
Yes, Dogsact, I think this has been an ordinary year overall. There are too many yo-yos around - clubs that are up one minute and down the next. Port Adelaide and Adelaide are guilty of that. So are Fremantle to a degree. Sydney were, but I think they're getting into their groove now.
Hawthorn and North Melbourne are being at least consistent. That's why they've been able to take advantage when the stronger clubs have a weak weekend. When those clubs I have mentioned get some consistency going I expect both the Hawks and the Kangaroos to struggle. They have not impressed me.

haha beaussie even I still have bitter memories of the moment davis kicked that goal in the dieing seconds
and you have to admit the cats had that game wrapped up and blew it!!! full credit to the swans that year though. but having said that i dont think the cats will let that happen again not saying against the swans but be it any side i think they are showing this year that they have finally come together as a team with no mistakes and are playing the brand of footy we all knew they could!

The 2007 semi is a perfect example of how unsurity of a rule can effect a game. Logic says put the ball over the boundry but the players thought "Shit. ill get oinged for deliberate", they hesitate, Sytdney wins. BANG!. If Geelong had put it over, free kick or not for delid, the grand final couldd have bee a heck of a lot different. IMO
Last minute show! If the cats had got that ball that sat sooo close to the boundry over, they should have won. Thinkng about it, it must have been so exciting as a Swans supporter, firstly escaping that game. Then THAT mark in the dying GF seconds. Edge of the seat stuff, almost change of pants stuff! lol
