I believe the only time that a 40-45 k idea was even conceived was when Australia was bidding for the 2022 World Cup which turned out to be corrupt bullshit

that venue was to be built next to the present Canberra Stadium at Bruce & was to be an outdoor venue I think
this indoor stadium is to be built in the City & is a completely different project.

Melbourne have asked for a priority pick also given a sizeable cash injection by the AFL too I believe. So not sure the AFL is not helping .... If course many are arguing against the priority pick.

Also, if you think off field spending does not assist on field performance ... Then you know little. Many clubs are calling for a salary cap on off field spending because the advantages it gives the wealthy clubs.

But by the looks of things they've managed to score a new training and admin development as part of the Comms games work. Will only cost them $20m too by the sounds of things, which is a bargain.

also the mlb and nba employ luxury taxes, enabling teams to go over their salary cap but are 'taxed' for it ie:pay the league more money. giving the richer teams a little more muscle than the rest

also the tax laws are completely different state to state in the US

So a club that can afford to lure the best fitness coaches, best recruiters, has state of the art facilities, can buy the best their is for their players to have access to, has no more advantage then a club that had none of these things?
