??? The bigger question ??? You think outrating NRL on a club round, - stage your competition over 2 weeks to get extra ratings, and extra matches. Only a desperate person would regard this as some sort of achievement. The NRL is a multifaceted organisation - its not the ugly kid at the school dance, the one sitting in the corner that nobody else wants anything to do with.
1) there werent extra matches, it was one round over two weeks. Same number of games were broadcast fta and fox as would have been through a normal round of footy.
2) The Answer to Freds questions
- AFL Fox 1085 this weekend, 2209 fox for the round (245 ave)
- NRL Fox 751 (ave = 187), monday night still to come
- AFL 1380 on FTA this weekend, 2617 for the round (327 ave)
- NRL 1716 on FTA (572 ave)
3) The NRL is only ahead by 600,000 ratings on
total reported ratings. The AFL would be several million ahead if we had access to all ratings figures.
4) The AFL is currently maintaining a lead in averages for the season (488 to 435), but when Origin is included, the NRL jumps ahead (507 to 450). The NRL remains ahead on averages even if you take out the fox only preseason for the AFL. (507-492)
Tables will be up tomorrow when the nrl ratings for monday are in.
