AFL's new Code of Conduct

Post by crocodileman »

In response to the weekend debacle involving child sex allegations and admissions by Sellwood, the AFL have released a draft new code of conduct in relation to these type of scenarios.

Whilst Sellwood claimed to have done Headland's 6 year old daughter the night before the game, the AFL hierarchy were disgusted and immediately released a paper to clubs titled:-

"Sex before its 8 or it's too late!"

I don't want to be seen as defending Selwood, but according to him, if the Age today is correct:
It is believed Selwood will argue that he said he'd had sex with a woman who features in Headland's tattoo without realising it was his daughter, Madisan. He will deny Headland's allegation that he then called her a slut.

Now I haven't seen Headland's tatoo. Is it clear that it is his daughter and couldn't possibly be seen as a woman. Selwood is still a dog if you ask me. The AFL certainly needs to do something about these kind of personal slurs.

I think it will be too hard to prove anything. I don't have any time for Headland either, he's a hothead at the best of times. Have had no respect for hi, since he screwed the Lions over all those years ago.

Well, there it is again. The AFL prove how gutless they are. No action over Daniel Kerr's drugs contoversy, but heaven forbid someone call an umpire pathetic
($20000 fine). Hmm I wonder which is worse.

Oh, and while we are at it, here, have some salary cap relief to cover you other drug abusers absence and treatment.

I wonder if the Bombers can get some salary cap relief to cover Adam Ramanaskas' cancer treatments and absences over the last three years. :****

Good points, particularly the last one about the Bombers and Ramanaskas, considering the AFL is providing salary cap relief for the Eagles drug rehab.

That aside, great to see Ramanaskas out on the field in the VFL this weekend. =D>

I think the AFL's new leaders in Demetriou and Anderson have proven time and time again how they wish to put their stamp on the game even if for the detriment of the game. When they finally have an opportunity to really show they are fair dunkum they provide this wishy washy decision about Selwood and Headland. Both parties innocent????!?!?!?!? What the!?!?!?!??! More interested in mucking about with the rules than making a decent decision about a very important and socially repsonsible issue. Doesnt surprise me.
