Ahh no, violent acts are undertaken by a very small percentage of the population who are punished accordingly. It is looked down upon by the law and the vast majority of sensible people.King-Eliagh wrote:Sheezus the rubbish coming through in here. Xman violence is everywhere you stupid twit. And in the AFL comp I've seen some of the worst violence occurring over the past 5 years, much worse than in any RL game. This includes bashing injured players as they walk off the field! Absolute disgrace and nothing was done about it, as is the case with numerous ugly off the ball incidents which often involve cheap shots etc. This stuff, especially the bashing of injured players, as I've explained b4, simply doesnt happen in RL. Why? Because a whole bunch of blokes from the opposing side will demolish the perpetrator on site. So tell me who has the better rules? And there is a place for players to be taking things into their own hands on the pitch. Like when opposition players bash injured players as they walk off and nothing is done about it.
Now as to my style of playing marngrook. Beaussie I think raider would be proud as i dont follow the norms and conventions of players brought up in the sport. I dont pussyfoot around out there scratching to get the ball off an opponent. If he's in trying to get by me I put a big hit on him under the ribs and knock them on their arse. Gave one of the young stars in our team a bit of a shock at training just last week doing just this. On the field it intimidates which is fun. Also if any player decides to do the cheap shot out there on the park with me I wont be screaming umpire like a cat, i'll deal out justice the proper way, RL style. I just hope others will follow my lead out there and bring the game up a few notches.

Kings its good to see your keeping fit and having good fun in your spare time. Good to see i have someone here that has played AFL like myself. I lived in Kingsley in WA for 2 year when i was in high school and played AFL, but sadly couldn't develope a passion for the game.King-Eliagh wrote:Howdy there gentleman and bitterboys. My apologies for not updating recently butI've been a busy man, I'll make up for it.
Well its been a fantastic few weeks in my comeback season to marngrook. I'm very glad to say im back in top form and am receiving accolades from coaching staff and our senior leadership players Solid marking and accurate disposals has become the norm in my game and its been nice to recieve the acknolwedgement i deserve and im feeling quite proud after coming back from injury some weeks ago.
So yes its all good news folks and I can only see my standard of play improving so I'll be sure to let you all know by updating every few weeks as we build on to yet another finals appearance here.
Yours Sincerely,
King
Um excuse me, I used to play RL as a junior and was in fact a big fan of the game until I saw the much more fast paced, more skillful and exciting Australian football alternative. Now I can't understand what I ever found interesting about throwball.eelofwest wrote:Good to see you are making comments about AFL having played the game before, unlike our friends here (Xman,TPG, Beas) who have never played league but think they can comment on our beautiful game.
These pansies wouldn't know what courage and skill it takes to step out onto a rugby field.

Okay so that rules you out Beaussie, can you explain Xman and TPG for me?
Yeah so as it stands we have Xman and Tpg that have never played our great game yet think they can pass judgement on it lol ignorant just doesn't cut it to describe these two MuppetsKing-Eliagh wrote:Yes thanks eels. I concur. TLPG and Xman are as ignorant as it gets. Beaussie's a bit different though, he used to love league and played a bit at school. He's interesting as he knows he's posting deceitful, misleading info but he does it all the same. Thats why i call him the man who cried wolf. A shocking character as he knows he's making it all up but just enjoys the attention. tsk tsk tsk beaussie
