Sheezus the rubbish coming through in here. Xman violence is everywhere you stupid twit. And in the AFL comp I've seen some of the worst violence occurring over the past 5 years, much worse than in any RL game. This includes bashing injured players as they walk off the field! Absolute disgrace and nothing was done about it, as is the case with numerous ugly off the ball incidents which often involve cheap shots etc. This stuff, especially the bashing of injured players, as I've explained b4, simply doesnt happen in RL. Why? Because a whole bunch of blokes from the opposing side will demolish the perpetrator on site. So tell me who has the better rules? And there is a place for players to be taking things into their own hands on the pitch. Like when opposition players bash injured players as they walk off and nothing is done about it.

Now as to my style of playing marngrook. Beaussie I think raider would be proud as i dont follow the norms and conventions of players brought up in the sport. I dont pussyfoot around out there scratching to get the ball off an opponent. If he's in trying to get by me I put a big hit on him under the ribs and knock them on their arse. Gave one of the young stars in our team a bit of a shock at training just last week doing just this. On the field it intimidates which is fun. Also if any player decides to do the cheap shot out there on the park with me I wont be screaming umpire like a cat, i'll deal out justice the proper way, RL style. I just hope others will follow my lead out there and bring the game up a few notches.

Ahh no, violent acts are undertaken by a very small percentage of the population who are punished accordingly. It is looked down upon by the law and the vast majority of sensible people. [-X [-X [-X

The AFL punish off the ball or violent incidents ruthlessly, and often under criticism. Meanwhile the NRL support and even encourage toe to toe punch-ons. A disgrace which is out of touch with society as a whole. [-X [-X [-X

You dont even understand what violence is in legal terms. Look it up. In legal terms violence is conducted during each and every RL and marngrook match.

So what happened to the Brisbane lions blokes who 5 yrs or so ago shoulder charged nick reiwoldts injured shoulder as he struggled off the field???

Nothing, and shamefully not one of nicks teammates really stood up for him. Why? Well I dont know for sure but I'd say it was because they were either conditioned into being pussies or fearful of the repercussions brought about by the nannystate rules of their code...or prob both. This is not in the spirit of what sport is about. It is shameful. 99 out of a hundred toe to toe punchups in the nrl occur when a serious infringement involving foul play has occurred. In this case a man should be able to follow instincts and stick up for himself or for his teammates.

The way you are leaning here is if I walked past you in the street and kicked you in the nuts, and then while you were down forced you to slap yourself in the noggin with your own hand, the way you're leaning is you would take it for as long as it took for a police officer to walk by, and if that police officer didnt see what was going on, you would take it some more until one did. In other words you'd be a complete pussy and not stick up for yourself, or if the same happened to a friend of yours you would be content to leave the scene and run 5km to the nearest police station, or watch and call for help.

Lets not forget there's actually laws in place against this type of submissive bystander behaviour Xman. Unfortunately the AFL has gotten things the wrong way round with its uber strict rulings. A real shame and loss for the game.

Howdy there gentleman and bitterboys. My apologies for not updating recently butI've been a busy man, I'll make up for it.

Well its been a fantastic few weeks in my comeback season to marngrook. I'm very glad to say im back in top form and am receiving accolades from coaching staff and our senior leadership players Solid marking and accurate disposals has become the norm in my game and its been nice to recieve the acknolwedgement i deserve and im feeling quite proud after coming back from injury some weeks ago.

So yes its all good news folks and I can only see my standard of play improving so I'll be sure to let you all know by updating every few weeks as we build on to yet another finals appearance here.

Yours Sincerely,
King

Kings its good to see your keeping fit and having good fun in your spare time. Good to see i have someone here that has played AFL like myself. I lived in Kingsley in WA for 2 year when i was in high school and played AFL, but sadly couldn't develope a passion for the game.
Good to see you are making comments about AFL having played the game before, unlike our friends here (Xman,TPG, Beas) who have never played league but think they can comment on our beautiful game.
These pansies wouldn't know what courage and skill it takes to step out onto a rugby field.

Um excuse me, I used to play RL as a junior and was in fact a big fan of the game until I saw the much more fast paced, more skillful and exciting Australian football alternative. Now I can't understand what I ever found interesting about throwball.

In future, please don't make assumptions.

Yes thanks eels. I concur. TLPG and Xman are as ignorant as it gets. Beaussie's a bit different though, he used to love league and played a bit at school. He's interesting as he knows he's posting deceitful, misleading info but he does it all the same. Thats why i call him the man who cried wolf. A shocking character as he knows he's making it all up but just enjoys the attention. tsk tsk tsk beaussie [-X

I'm deceitful am I KE? You just dont like facts and the harsh reality for throwball fans that Australia's game is Australian Football. Meanwhile, I would suggest this entire thread and rubbish posted by you about your so called football experience is what I would define as deceitful. [-X
