True with Freo. 190,000 viewers in Perth alone.

Not so sure about the U19s NRL Origin though. And prime time in Melbourne on Channel 9 with just 23,000 viewers. The Sydney and Brisbane ratings not so great either. Channel 9 must be desperate to try impress PVL for the future tv rights, to take such a massive ratings hit. 355,000 is a very very low national average for rugby league.

Another Friday night win for the AFL head to head with the NRL, with Seven’s Friday Night Football featuring the Hawthorn Hawks defeating the Gold Coast Suns.

Another big Thursday night AFL audience with the Brisbane Lions cruising to victory against a disappointing Sydney Swans. An awful and hard game to watch for Swans fans. The game was shown on Channel 7 in all markets, other than Perth where the broadcast was on 7mate.

yeah i would say it is acceptable for both the clubs>> it is on the high side for FTA figures outside of Finals for these 2 clubs.

Swans double the population of Brisbane and still getting the same figures is interesting..
