I don’t think the incremental decline is inconspicuous . People timed in at the start .... dropped off. I’m thinking the same viewers are counted ... not individual viewers for each game. So as an advent we see numbers around 140000 average. Off the top of my head. Divided by what ... 3000? And that’s how many actual viewers .... . 50 set top boxes. Wonder how many in Perth lol.

hes saying the same people watched every game and shouldnt be counted as individual viewers for every game.
Thanks pal. I sorta worked that out. The thing is mediaweek is where I got the numbers so Freddy might wanna take up their reporting method with them. Unless and until they change it that's the numbers we go with. The rest of his post is opinion. Biased opinion.

hes not wrong though, theres no way there isnt multiple double counts of viewers. We all know thats the case. Hell these matches are BARELY long enough to meet the 15 minute increments these are counted in.
and NRL ,AFL every Friday night.

A Match is a match no matter how zooper it is.
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

Yep. BARELY. But make it. So Mediaweek report it. Fact. Simple. Easy. If you and Fred don't like it either ignore the published ratings or get 'em to change their method. Fact. Simple. Easy!!!!!

I don’t particularly care to be honest. Just an observation and some discussion, as we have had. It’s really no big deal.

Couldn't agree more Freddo. It's no big deal. And as long as mediaweek and the other ratings agencies report it so shall I.

Yeah. and then we do that thing you hate most. Put it into context. It doesnt change the data at all, but it does put it in the proper frame. Not all ratings are created equally.

And as long as its legal for me to have a fucking opinion on something I will.
Exactly pal. And an opinion it was. And as long as its legal for me to state a fact I will!!!!

Is it a fact if its based on survey data though
What I'm referring to is the fact mediaweek published ratings numbers for each game. Which they did. The actual veracity or value of the numbers is open to interpretation.

I regularly question the overnight ratings numbers. Particularly as they seem to show many more people in Melbourne watch TV than in Sydney overall. Or is it the method used? Or where the ratings boxes are placed? Or how many boxes are actually out there? Or are the numbers actually accurate at all?
